Vision Driven Basketball I practice 6 hours everyday, I go for runs and workouts every morning, I haven’t hit puberty yet so I didn’t start lifting weights. Is the correct?
Yo should I be pushing weights im in 7th grade rn and I'm down to start lifting weights but not at the cost of my height right now. Should I start to lift weights or no?
Lifting weights does not stunt your growth. Lifting incorrectly and get hurt is really the only thing you need to be careful about. But as long as you are doing things safely, smartly, and correctly you’ll gain a lot of benefits.
@@VisionDrivenBasketball Alright so I got some dumbells for home workouts and is 8 pounds safe for me? Im 12 years old and I just wanna be on the safe side.
Edwin Gomez the most important thing is that you have the ability. So first and foremost, be really good. Have high level skills and spend time getting stronger. Sometimes you’ll be found just by being really good. Then put together some highlights from your school games or from camps or whatever. Just have some highlights. Post them on TH-cam and send them to colleges you’d want to play for around your junior year of high school. Good chance a lot won’t respond, but that’s how you get your foot in the door.
Edwin Gomez depends where you live. I would google exposure camps in your area and then try and find one that is well known and has good reviews. It’s a bonus if they also film every game so you have the film after. If not, ask someone to come film for you. Obviously you won’t be able to do any of this for at least a few months.
bruh what? points are not everyhting you have to play smart and be the most efficient player on your team to give them wins and do everything you can for them to be a professional basketball player
How do I enter a basketball college? I don't mean to brag or anything and I'm going to give out the most honest context and information about me. I'm currently in high school right now and basketball is my passion. I love the game of basketball and I wanna pursue a professional dream in the future. I hit the weight room and practice basketball every single day 6x a week. I got some decent grades and my athletic performance is fantastic, I do a lot of explosive workouts with some good enough strength throughout my whole body. I watch a lot of film studies on basketball so I can analyze all the details of the game and use it to further improvise my basketball performance. I'm a 6'1 Point Guard, fantastic outside shooter, excellent play-making, perfect ball handling (I don't spam all my dribbles lol, I just keep it simple and keep everything fundamental.) My best strength is off-dribble shooting, I'm able to create space against my defenders and drain the ball down the bucket. I'm also a really great play-maker, I can direct the ball to my teammates effectively without having to turn it over. I don't play for a high school team, but I regularly play streetball, and yes, streetball is very different compared to professional basketball, but I am very positive that I am a fantastic offensive player. If there are any ways for me to receive a scholarship from basketball colleges specifically in America, I would really appreciate the help! Good luck to all the hoopers out there!
so i just started hit puberty around couple months ago, so u mean i should started working out on the weight room? im 5'9 rn and still want to grow around 6'3, im so scared that my height will get stop if i lift some dumbbells on the weight room
M.Yusran Yuris np also it’s very important what you put in your body, make sure you eat healthy, a basketballs players diet consists of many carbs, BUT DO NOT EAT TOOO MANY CARBS. that’s how you get fat, limit your bread, or don’t eat bread at all
Rafi_D05 no that’s 100% not true. Lifting weights will not affect your height at all. The only way it could is if you severely injure yourself when you’re young. But if you lift with proper form and a safe amount of weight, you’ll only see benefits.
Peem Bball that is not true. If you lift weights incorrectly and hurt yourself then maybe. But if you do it right it will do nothing but help you. I recommend finding someone to teach you proper form before you start lifting weights. If not, do body weight exercises to get stronger.

@@thebrownmamba5728 don’t do it
@@thebrownmamba5728 I asked my doctor the same question they said they recommend in 8th or 9th grade
@@Drippy_JDj Ok man my family said not to do it thanks tho!
How do you get noticed if you cant afford aau
Edwin Gomez the most important thing is that you have the ability. So first and foremost, be really good. Have high level skills and spend time getting stronger. Sometimes you’ll be found just by being really good. Then put together some highlights from your school games or from camps or whatever. Just have some highlights. Post them on TH-cam and send them to colleges you’d want to play for around your junior year of high school. Good chance a lot won’t respond, but that’s how you get your foot in the door.
Where can you find some basketball camps
Edwin Gomez depends where you live. I would google exposure camps in your area and then try and find one that is well known and has good reviews. It’s a bonus if they also film every game so you have the film after. If not, ask someone to come film for you. Obviously you won’t be able to do any of this for at least a few months.
Alright thank you im going to put in the work
I’m in grade 7 now going to grade 8 and they are going to be people from USA gonna come see us play and i want to be good
guys how much points do I need for nba please thanks
bruh what? points are not everyhting you have to play smart and be the most efficient player on your team to give them wins and do everything you can for them to be a professional basketball player
What if your Canadian
Kieran Mullen typically there’s Canadians in the rankings too
Look at Elijah Fisher
Good luck to all the hoopers out there!
what happens if your too un selfish
I’m 7th grade and I play in a 17s team, but I never get noticed is becuase I live in the UK.
Try to look for clubs and try to find clubs like insep. I’m from America but I’m sure if you look or just put the work in it will find you
Im on 247 but im not ranked is that good?
I’m ranked 1 because no one’s really good
Thanks trying to prove all of them wrong
yo,does working out on the weight room slow down or stop my height growth? im 14 years old btw
It does if you haven’t hit puberty, if you have just hit puberty that’s a signal to start
so i just started hit puberty around couple months ago, so u mean i should started working out on the weight room? im 5'9 rn and still want to grow around 6'3, im so scared that my height will get stop if i lift some dumbbells on the weight room
M.Yusran Yuris it wont trust me, when u hit puberty you grow much faster, lifting weights when you hit puberty is a good combo
aight, thanks for the info man
M.Yusran Yuris np also it’s very important what you put in your body, make sure you eat healthy, a basketballs players diet consists of many carbs, BUT DO NOT EAT TOOO MANY CARBS. that’s how you get fat, limit your bread, or don’t eat bread at all
alr
I’m going to 7th grade my goal is to be varsity
How do you get ranked on sites like espn and stuff
I can’t go play basketball everyday
Then good luck man. Even the dudes at the bottom of the espn 100 are constantly in the gym
How do you get on contact with slam ballislife etc to come film you?
Isaiahballer30TM you don’t get them to come film you. If you’re good enough and play at high level tournaments or camps, they will find you.
is it true that working out makes you short? or it just depends on what you work on
Rafi_D05 no that’s 100% not true. Lifting weights will not affect your height at all.
The only way it could is if you severely injure yourself when you’re young. But if you lift with proper form and a safe amount of weight, you’ll only see benefits.
Vision Driven Basketball aight thanks bro
during COVID how you get recognized
Send highlight tapes
@@60secondhistory9 not every have a camera or phone
I didnt hit puberty yet if i lift weight i would get short
Peem Bball that is not true. If you lift weights incorrectly and hurt yourself then maybe. But if you do it right it will do nothing but help you. I recommend finding someone to teach you proper form before you start lifting weights. If not, do body weight exercises to get stronger.
Vision Driven Basketball thx so much can you a video on hot to lift weight
Basketball should not be your #1 priority. It should be school first, then focus on sports
I think I am top 60 in my country
Middle schoolers should be in the weight room? smh
