The warehouse scene. Those were all people's actual cars. They didn't build them just for the movie. Pretty sure they did actually launch that car at the end
The silver car Brian drives in the beginning of the movie is a Nissan Skyline GTR-34. It’s Japanese only and imported, so it’s a right hand drive vehicle. The Skyline is aptly nicknamed Godzilla because of its insane performance on the track. That car is the holy grail of Japanese performance cars.
This was always one of my favs growing up! This is back when Tyrese’s character, Roman, was so much more of a badass before they made him the full on comedic relief of the team.
@@DTCAllOveryou know what, though? That’s fair, it would be unbalanced and probably annoying. However I think it still works for his character because the main reason he was a hothead in the first place was because of the chip on his shoulder from Brian. He resolved that and owned up to his own mistakes in this one. Character growth!
RIP John Singleton!! You guys should’ve checked out the little short film that shows what Brian did after the first film. There’s also a short film before part 4 that shows what Dom has been doing. Vin Diesel directed that one.
I honestly can't wait to see the reactions to Tokyo Drift. Also amazing how Ludicris went from garage owner/former street racer to expert computer hacker and tech wizard during the course of these films.
The reason Paul's car in the beggining is right hand drive is because the R34 Nissan Skyline GTR is a JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) car. It was never sold outside of Japan. American reason were because the freakin' thing was too technologically advance which is why they never allowed it in the US. Not until recently did the R34 GTR turn 25 years old and are now permitted to imported into the states. So at the time of filming, if you actually had this car it wouldn't be road legal. Hell it wouldn't be legal in any shape or form.
When I worked in Virginia Beach there was a guy who I would always see driving one, he was in a McDonalds drive-thru in front of me once, in reverse. Lol
People say that these films are basically American action anime, and while I agree, John Singleton knew that way back in 2003 when he made this sequel. So much anime influence. Took the studio a few more movies to catch up.
Paul Walker really was the center of the franchise. I don't know when it became all about Dom but I personally think the movies were better when Brian was our main character.

I will never understand why everyone skips the 2 Fast 2 Furious Prelude. It answers a lot of the questions that everyone always has at the start of this movie.
The 3rd movie had the best soundtrack in my humble opinion. In the timeline of the story it's going to feel out of place because it doesn't have the original crew from the first 2 movies, but you will see all these new characters and plot lines merge together in later movies.
This was actually the first movie i watched from this franchise when i watched it out of order. I use to love drawing the cars and customizing my own wheels.
I live in miami, we do in fact race everything down here, including jetskis, fastest jetski in the world in right here in the 305, the car in the beginning is an R34 skyline that was imported from japan hence the right hand drive. There is a prologue video for the in between tale of 1&2, explains how Brian gets to miami. I lived near most of the filming locations for this movie and went to watch often, my dad worked at the shop next to the body shop that was finishing and repairing the cars for the shoots, i got to see and sit in almost all the cars featured in the movie except for the warehouse scramble scene, that was comprised of locals and their personal cars. Actually most background cars are all locals at the time. To follow the first with this one in miami sealed the deal personally for me, been racing ever since.❤
@40:15 Tara bringing up "The Count of Monte Cristo" scene, and I was thinking of another film with a similar getaway heist moment in the 1999 Remake of "The Thomas Crown Affair" with Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo. 😂❤

DIscovering more bits of Tara's "dark" past with this saga has been amazing, specially every time she reacts to a new car on screen. Now it makes sense the "purge" reaction every time, she is like a drag race driver, entirely focused on what's in front of her (I'm just making this up)
I never tired of these movies. Some say they get terrible, but much like Transformers, these movies are a brain dead spectacle. You watch because its fun. You ignore all the loopholes, impossible stuff, cheesy stuff. These movies were pure " brainless summer flicks". I love them.
Damn I really preferred when F&F was mostly about racing. First film made me run a bike race on my street in 6th grade. Imagine the opening race scene of this film only with bikes lined up on both sidewalks and we even had middle school girls show up 😂😂😂 Good times
4:06 actually if you guys there’s this short film that basically shows that apparently as a result of letting Dom go, the cops now are convicting him as assisting a convict for escaping therefore, he is now on the run
As far as I can recall, only two people knew that he was a cop. That was Dom and his sister. And the other guy that got injured at the end only suspected that he was a cop. So Dom and his sister obviously won't say anything to anybody and the guy that was injured is keeping his mouth shut since Brian saved his life.
Most countries drive on the left hand side of the car and the right hand side of the road. I think there’s only about 30-40 who don’t. Brian’s car is Japanese and in Japan they drive on the left of the road and the right hand side of the car
9:15 was an actual accident. Paul Walker accidentally crashed into a parking meter and they left it in the movie. The car that was crashed wasn't even a stunt car.

There's a short video they made to show what happened after Brian gave Dom the keys. Then it shows how he got his skyline and how he ended up in Miami. The weapon they use is a emp device to short circuit the electronics.

The big scene with all the cars coming out of the warehouse was taken from an eighties car movie called “ Catch If You Can” where they did it the same type and year of car instead but using water based paint on the car and washing it off in a car wash instead of a warehouse.
5:03 😂😂😂 Brian's car in the first race came from Japan, so the steering wheel is on the other side. They don't make left-hand drive Skylines. Only right-hand drive.
