Just so you know, Wanted and Wanteez are two different Ateez shows! Both seem great, but I'm more familiar with Wanteez (and I love it). Excited to get your reactions to it over on patreon.
Whaaat? Well, that's certainly awesome to know before we begin our ATEEZ variety show journey. (At least our ignorance regarding that topic is proof that this will be our first time reacting to it😅😅)
I think one of the reasons you might not hear any Ateez hate is because they aren't as popular in the K-pop scene (don't get me wrong, they're a huge group, but their fame is different from groups like Stray Kids who both are well known by general kpop fans/public as well as having a big fandom). They're bigger internationally and are really propelled by fandom support, while other groups have fandom + company + popularity outside of that. This is evident with how recently a huge group like Le Sserafim got more hate than Ateez got praise for Coachella. Even though Ateez did well, Le Sserafim's hate kind of outshined them, especially in Korea and amongst K-pop fans. That's because Le Sserafim has a decent fanbase, a huge and well known company, and is GP friendly enough. But they do have some controversies and/or have gotten hate over their years. I don't know everything, but I know that their music is often called "noise music" as an insult (as in, it's nothing but noise and is not good to listen to). Individual members get hate. There was a whole issue with a Yeosang hate train not too long ago. Wooyoung, unfortunately, has gotten comments about his weight/body and it clearly affects him sometimes. San is constantly criticized for being scary looking, embarrassing, or weird when he dances or performs crazily on stage (he himself has responded by saying that he has tried to tone it down on stage, but it just isn't him and doesn't feel right). They've also had a few real controversies such as San and his middle finger glove (lol), Hongjoong's hair in Thanxx, and the offensive curry song. I love Ateez and have been a fan for years, but I don't know everything about them, so there might be more that I'm not privy to. I think another thing is that they seem like earnest and hardworking guys who do their jobs well (great singer(s), great dancers, good visuals, and fun dynamic, so there isn't much to hate unless you're picky). Sooo sorry for the long comment. lol I don't know why I decided to write all of that. Your comment about not seeing people dislike Ateez just really got me thinking.
alot of middle age woman & even granny is Ateez fans in fact 😅😂 so no wonder if your mom likes them too About hater, they still have it too, but it's not blow up bcoz ateez itself not that popular in korea They got hate when they call out for Vata plagiat their choreo in Say my name saying that is his creation, when ateez already create it in 2019 And their song criticize as 'noisy', and not fit to listening to it daily 😅 And the one thst makes me cry a river is the hate from army to seonghwa when he tell atiny that 'thanks to atiny he can learn to love himself now' Army claim that seonghwa plagiat RM words and try to copy him 😢 it breaks my heart coz they said so many mean things to my delicate soft heart seonghwa God, i'm crying for days and ruin so many pillows that day 🤧
