All the comments on twitter that said its hard to perform live at coachella with all the wind, sand/dust or just blame it on the environment.. Well, ateez perform quite amazing without any trouble or if there was trouble they are so professional for not showing it. Its so disturbing that media only focus on the failed performer rather than praise the one group that actually perform amazing like ATEEZ. Just because they're not from big agency, doesnt mean they dont deserve to be praise.
I saw ATEEZ during their last tour and they are truly incredible live. They have the most amazing dance/energy/vocal stability balance I've seen from any group and Jongho (the main vocalist that hit the high notes) is one of the best singers I've ever seen live.
Same, I went to see them in London and took my mum (she didn't know ateez and didn't know anything to do with korea) and now she's a massive atiny 😭😭 Ateez's power

tysm for reacting to ateez!! you’re correct that they are singing fully live! They don’t believe in lip syncing besides for music videos! Also if you think their control and stamina is impressive here you definitely need to check them out on tour (coming this summer)!! They typically perform for about 2.5-3 hours! I saw them for two shows on their last tour and of all the bands/artists/kpop groups I’ve seen they’re truly the most incredible and talented and captivating to watch live. The way they sound basically identical to their recordings (sometimes better tbh) while doing such intense choreo and their vocals remain so stable is genuinely insane. They’re performing again on the Sahara stage at 10:45PM PST on Friday if you want to tune in!! Also fun little fact, they had the crowd so hyped you could hear them screaming from different stages including the main stage which is the furthest away!

Jongho (the main vocal) went for a lesson with Seth Riggs' daughter the day after this Coachella performance. Apparently, this is what he does whenever he's in LA. I guess that kind of talent doesn't just arrive. He's said it himself, there was a time when people told him to rather not sing but he worked hard and it didn't come naturally. These guys are so dedicated to their craft and it truly shows- they aren't just a fluff piece, but actual talent. Seeing someone like you, who knows something, react this way to them is so encouraging! I loved their Coachella performance with the live band (there was definitely a back track there that helped during extreme dance moves but as you can see, they outsang it, like they always do).
Jongho, the main vocalist who sang the high note @8:55, collapsed after this performance. The strain of performing for an extended time in the harsh wind and elements caused him to faint after he left the stage. He is normally a strong guy, so that's not typical for him, just to give some perspective on this show. I've seen Ateez live in concert twice so far, and they are amazing! Truly professional and talented performers who engage the audience and make an arena feel like an intimate gathering of friends. When I saw Ateez in Atlanta in January 2022, Jongho's mic malfunctioned right before the high note in Wonderland (the high note @9:15 in this video), yet he still sang so strong and loud that we could hear him through the whole arena! It was insane! ❤ You might want to look up fan cam videos of that performance.

Y'all, I was at this show barricade right of the stage. When I tell you my lungs were working hard with high winds, I wore a mask most of the show. The fact that they were able to perform uninterrupted the whole time, with stability, plus the following weekend show! WOW. When I tell you ATEEZ blows my mind every time I see them, they outperform themselves.
You have to watch all KQ ent artists their vocal are insane ATEEZ I FEEL LEGENDARY VIBES As ex dancer/performer its very hard to breathe soo much how much more you will sing ♥️
Ateez are just so incredible at what they do. Honestly, I think what makes them different from most kpop group is that you can see the love and testament all the ateez members have for their craft. Once I got into Ateez every other artist and kpop group's performance came off as mediocre. Ateez really set the standard high and are probably the best vocal and performance kpop boy group that's active right now.
Jongho is the only one in Kpop that hit that highest note. What was that a Z5 ? Ha Ateez is the best group right now and their set both weekends at Coachella was literally the best Kpop act that’s been there. And yes I know who all has been there in the past. They were so hyped and the energy was insane!

Speaking on their range, I’ve always been really impressed by this too. San, seonghwa and yunho have naturally deep voices but they have the capability to sing high AND low with ease, richness and beauty❤ It’s really impressive. Yunho’s voice has always impressed me bc he switches back and forth in an instant. His voice isn’t highlighted as much as his dancing, but as we’ve seen in his recent cover, he has a phenomenal singing voice. Absolutely breathtaking.

You recognizing the live vocals is everything!! Their choro always goes so hard plus their wild beats the backtrack doesn’t always let us hear it so raw. Of course seeing them live last yr and hearing their live vocals is exhilarating but they didn’t really have much backtracking here and I had to watch entire performance multiple times b/c it’s the first time I see them this raw performing and god bless did they execute it perfectly!! 🔥🥹🫶🏻 *post edited to use correct terminology of “backtracking”! But they mean the same to me lol I just know very basic info about it from watching Kpop survival shows and from following my fandoms FYI mostly all groups use this when perform, how much of it is used differs Like Mingi’s “Fix On” is sometimes autotune in and sometimes it’s not and he says it live (just depends on event/song/choro/etc) but their vocals are always live just if too much auto/background is being used by sound tech you don’t get the beautiful rawness like we got for Coachella.
@@a_prettylights8277 a backtrack and autotune are two different things, a backtrack is what you use in live performances, basically it’s a prerecorded track used in the background to “back up” the singers, for example when they’re doing heavy choreography and need to stop singing for a second to take a breath, the backtrack covers those few seconds you aren’t singing. If you watch kpop performances and they’re singing live, you’ll usually hear that their voices have a layered sound to them, like you can hear two voices at the same time, that’s the backtrack (but sometimes, like ateez at coachella, the backtrack is very low so it can be hard to hear). I’ve noticed they usually use the studio version of the song as the backtrack so it tends to be easy to differentiate which is the live vocals but that might not always be the case, not too sure lol. “Auto-Tune definition: a brand name for software that processes vocal or instrumental tracks in a recording to correct pitch and timing errors.” got that one from google lol. But yeah they’re very different :)

Ateez are just so incredible at what they do. Honestly, I think what makes them different from most kpop group is that you can see the love and testament all the ateez members have for their craft. Once I got into Ateez every other artist and kpop group's performance came off as mediocre. Ateez really set the standard high and are probably the best vocal and performance kpop boy group that's active right now.
Jongho is the only one in Kpop that hit that highest note. What was that a Z5 ? Ha
Ateez is the best group right now and their set both weekends at Coachella was literally the best Kpop act that’s been there. And yes I know who all has been there in the past. They were so hyped and the energy was insane!

You should look up their performance of the song ARRIBA during this set which wasn’t shown on this compilation. Better yet, you should catch them on Coachella’s weekend 2 livestream this Friday at 10:45pm Pacific Time on the Sahara Stage - I’d love to see you react to them with the official audio from the Coachella stream. Jongho’s crazy B5 at the end of WONDERLAND isn’t the only insane vocal feats he/they pull off over the course of this 50-minute set!

Speaking on their range, I’ve always been really impressed by this too. San, seonghwa and yunho have naturally deep voices but they have the capability to sing high AND low with ease, richness and beauty❤ It’s really impressive. Yunho’s voice has always impressed me bc he switches back and forth in an instant. His voice isn’t highlighted as much as his dancing, but as we’ve seen in his recent cover, he has a phenomenal singing voice. Absolutely breathtaking.

You recognizing the live vocals is everything!! Their choro always goes so hard plus their wild beats the backtrack doesn’t always let us hear it so raw. Of course seeing them live last yr and hearing their live vocals is exhilarating but they didn’t really have much backtracking here and I had to watch entire performance multiple times b/c it’s the first time I see them this raw performing and god bless did they execute it perfectly!! 🔥🥹🫶🏻

@@emmylia yes…not sure if those are used interchangeably? But they mean the same to me lol I just know very basic info about it from watching Kpop survival shows and from following my fandoms
FYI mostly all groups use this when perform, how much of it is used differs
Like Mingi’s “Fix On” is sometimes autotune in and sometimes it’s not and he says it live (just depends on event/song/choro/etc) but their vocals are always live just if too much auto/background is being used by sound tech you don’t get the beautiful rawness like we got for Coachella.
@@a_prettylights8277 a backtrack and autotune are two different things, a backtrack is what you use in live performances, basically it’s a prerecorded track used in the background to “back up” the singers, for example when they’re doing heavy choreography and need to stop singing for a second to take a breath, the backtrack covers those few seconds you aren’t singing. If you watch kpop performances and they’re singing live, you’ll usually hear that their voices have a layered sound to them, like you can hear two voices at the same time, that’s the backtrack (but sometimes, like ateez at coachella, the backtrack is very low so it can be hard to hear). I’ve noticed they usually use the studio version of the song as the backtrack so it tends to be easy to differentiate which is the live vocals but that might not always be the case, not too sure lol.
“Auto-Tune definition: a brand name for software that processes vocal or instrumental tracks in a recording to correct pitch and timing errors.” got that one from google lol. But yeah they’re very different :)
@@emmylia ooo thank you!! I always hear it as referencing Autotune and never realized it’s a brand 😂 (I’m also a nurse so like not a/t I would have ever needed to know before now). I will now use the correct term “backtrack” and ditch my habit of saying autotune!!

I love ATEEZ very much. They debuted in my country, Morocco. They filmed more than one MV in the Moroccan Sahara desert, and from there I became ATINY without thinking❤
