great video Itwo in canda have a 2009 Jag XKR convertable just bought with 28,000 miles love the car my second you hit after washing car drive around block plus will do after every rain storm, Keep up the good work on your video, Christopher Ottawa Canada
Great video. It amazes me that people take their cars to main dealers paying £200 per hour for somebody to go round it with a torch and as you say dont even remove the wheels
I have a 4.2 2007 xkr &69k miles and would be interested to know if you need to consider doing anything significant with timing chain guides as a preventative measure ?
A really informative video - thanks. I notice that you are running on Michelins on the rears. Just Cruisin' who has a TH-cam channel has fitted a set of Pilot Sport 4S to his XKR and says they have transformed the drive for the better. I have recently fitted a set of Dunlop Sportmaxx to my XK and the road noise levels have gone through the roof. I think this has a lot to do with the low profile ratio that you mention and that they are run-flats, so probably a harder sidewall compound. I would certainly steer clear of the Dunlops when it comes time to change your tyres.
@@danielroberts6637 Correct. Here in the States, I've made a print-out of the manual section where it mentions this quirk. This way, if I'm questioned by a cop or inspection station about it I can show that it's "working as designed".
Hi Phil. Maybe it was the stone. However I noticed when applying the brake the sound changed - hence thinking it was the high spot on the disc. Either way glad I got the stone out
Awesome, some really good advice there.
Glad it was helpful!

Rear reverse light out mate 👍🏻
Good spot I need to check that out 👍
Nothing wrong with it. They only have one reverse light other side is the fog light.

I have checked mine and both reverse lights work 🤷🏼♂️
@Andrew Mitchell hi Andrew I will solve this by taking a look and making a little video 😁👍
Very informative video thank you , Do you think the clicking might have been the stone in the disk? And Belated happy birthday 🍻
