I remember in 2002 being in Hastings and the storm that hit was crazy. We had photos of people leaning into the wind and not falling over because it was so strong.

As if this has NEVER happened before. Must be the end of times. What a joke.
Of course this has happened before. And can be several times worse in other places around the globe. BUT, this happens rarely in mainland UK, and even more rarely in England, which makes it newsworthy here. I suspect that if this occurred in, say, the British dependency of South Georgia, then it would be counted as just a slightly worse day than the usual autumn weather.
It’s a storm… and it’s on every new channel to make us nervous…the power of media my friends…..

This storm is a lot power for windmills.
