I was watching this thinking, "Wow, she's all up Jesus's butt.". But after hearing everything she's been through, it is very understandable that she would seek the comfort of religion to help her through the dark times. I'm not religious myself so I've learned to deal with situations differently. It was interesting to see how someone else copes with things, no matter how rational/irrational.
its because presence of Christ enters her heart... she opens her heart for Christ...atheist will only open their heart thru Christ when they're in their deathbed...
Just because death approaches doesn't mean someone reaches out for religion. Begging for Christ when you're about to die is futile since you're dying one way or the other. Believing in a god at the last minute just to "cover your ass" has it's own problems in that logic as well. (You're not the first person I've heard use the "no atheist in foxholes" rhetoric).
LordHissyFit I don't think you realize that it is actually more irrational to be an Atheist than it is to be a Christian since there is absolutely no evidence to support that world view. There is, however, evidence to support the Christian worldview.
Half the "religious" people I know have never even read the bible. Never read any history about Christianity or any other religions for that matter. Most "religious" people only seem to care about their own interpretation of god and what they can get out of having a relationship with Jesus.
It doesn't take a lot of research into recorded history to figure out that all of the large modern religions are based off of the same stories from ancient Egypt and Sumeria that involve the sun and the 12 constellations. (Jesus and his 12 disciples)
I'm fine with people believing in whatever they want if it helps them sleep at night.. but when you start to say there is more evidence for religion than there is against it you are just blatantly wrong. Probably willfully so.
