My wife is not a basshead, so I have a push button switch that kills my main amps but leaves a center channel playing, so her Taylor Swift can be extra tinny to her liking lol
Thank you for such amazing content. You are absolutely correct on the bass knob. I noticed when I disconnect the bass knob on my SIA-3500 the voltage drops on the volt meter by almost 1 volt. When plugging it back in I can see it go back up. I removed the knob because it starting to act funny, I was losing output on the amp & when I looked at the knob the blue led was going dim. I think the way I mounted the knob makes the connection loose with the wire bent in a 90 degree. I removed the knob & wire off the amp & problems are gone.
also good thing to throw out there is about some people who are running mids/highs off the head unit and not a seperate mids/highs amp, can make a big difference at the volume from the headunit that you match your sub gain from. when i started putting together the system in my jeep and didn't have a mids/highs amp yet... using an alpine ilx-w650 head unit, and checking with a DD1... the headunit would distort at volume 20 and the max was 35. head unit internal amps may be a lot nastier than you would think. definitely recommend that mids/highs amp because it's such a pain in the dick to juggle around the sound of the subs vs the sound of the mids/highs unless you just have a really small sub setup.
Please do a rebassed video it's gonna help me alot i do pro stock 2k last Sunday i did 148.1 gain was at straight half way im wired at 0.5 ohms to help with rise i appreciate all your wisdom man
I just can tell. My gains on bass amp are cranked, then back slightly less than a quarter turn. I just never turn my head unit past 13 and keep my bass knob from cut, to about a quarter turn.
i learned about the voltage thing the hard way. had my 3k set clean at 14.4v but then started rolling up the bassknob standing outside the car and wansnt paying attention to the clip light or voltage, hard clipped my 4 8s and they all locked up a few seconds after i started hearing the clipping smh. couldnt even get the the headunit in time to turn it down
So quick question on my lpf on my amp it starts at 80hz can I turn it all the way up and set the lpf on my radio instead or what I remember you saying something about that on a video I just can't remember which one thnk u
Watched your videos on rca voltage. I lowered my sub level to minus 5. Turned up my gain on amp and holy shit it woke up. Thanks!

Half gain doesn’t mean anything, your preout voltage from your head unit is just lower then 4v.

😢😢😢
had a question would a db drive euphoria is enough for 2 crescendo forte 18s
Do you think that having a stock radio and a Lc7i hurts by getting the most out of a amp?
it shouldn't. but you'd have more control with a better head unit
@@JerryAintloud oh ok that's why I bought the lc7 but I'm thinking about switching to the Tarramps 2.5s DSP
