Well, I checked out the website for Mira, looks reasonable. I have an old gas mask, with new filters. I don't expect to ever use it, but maybe for hazardous fire fumes. I do like the link, the masks could be useful, I will keep them in mind.
Thanks Fin! If you’re old mask uses the 40mm cannisters, you can get newer filters and it SHOULD work fine. If the seals are good, the rubber hasnt cracked or anything, it’s probably still good to go (or could be an older backup if you upgrade). Thanks for watching 👊
Reminds me of the time I actually used a respirator in the field during 2020. The way I got around being able to speak was hooking up a line in mic in it directly to a small wearable PA speaker. Was a lot of fun getting a positive seal with it, but I managed it.
If u live in wildfire area you should have a robust fire suppression system for the whole house. U could set up a simple network of lawn sprinklers and hoses to soak the house down with water to resist the fire
Seems good quality, and actually it looks awsome as well. Because one can't look bad if SHTF right? 😁😁 Don't have a mask yet, with this You got me thinking... Thanks for the review Sarge 👍🏻💪🏻
right now my biggest thought is can i afford food for all of this month. will i have gasoline to go see my mom a couple times each week? she lives in a care home.
Definitely smart to stay within your budget when prepping Larry! Each of us has different circumstances that we need to adhere to. There are several preps I can’t afford to (yet) but will pick them up when I have the budget for it. 🤝
Thank you for sharing, I drive over train tracks daily on my route to work, recently (Sept.2024) streets were blocked off but residents were not evacuated due to a train car derailment in Adrian, MI. This is a great share & I really have not gotten to the point of looking at adding this item in my preps yet. Sheesh, going to need a larger vehicle to haul all this personal protection around 🫢

Roman and crew at Mira Safety are the absolute best. edit by the way - Mira has two meanings in Russian - world and peace
Thanks Lee 👊
Not much world peace coming from Russia these days eh... We'll see what the future brings us.
👍👍
I would need lenses fitted due to my sight. It's definitely something to be considered but the canisters only last so long.
They can do that on the website!

I was tempted to do a video driving around with this on and getting reactions from other drivers. I might still…
