I’m not a fan of Squid Game at all and the only reason I’m watching this reaction series is because the boys are awesome and I just love their wholesome friendship… so yeah this video made me quite happy 😁
The room where the police guy visited to look for clues to find his brother is called "고시원 (go-shi-won)." It is not really designed for long-term living. The size of the space is just enough to fit a twin-size bed, a desk, a wardrobe, and a shower/toilet booth. It is usually rented to people preparing for important exams (for a license, certificate, college or company entry, etc.) or poor people who cannot afford regular housing.
I'm always a little surprised at people's reactions to the room. I've never been to Korea, but it kind of just looks like a university dorm to me. All the better because you don't have to share with a roommate, you get your own private space.

Why? They talk way too much about irrelevant things and includes it in the video. Theyre not focused on the show at all. And they keep cracking jokes that isnt really funny. How can they react if theyre not even paying attention. This is a reaction channel right? Not a stand up?

I can’t tell you how happy that makes me! You guys are so sharp, and I can see in your faces you guys feeling every bit of each of these characters. Thank you so much for going sub over dub. I know sub can sometimes be a little harder to follow if you're not used to it but its well worth it for certain shows like Squid Game.
That's what I did...just pressed play and cringed the whole series at the horrible voice dubs! Then I start watching reactions and see everyone else has Korean audio and normal English subtitles (not CC which I also had). Now I'm rewatching it the way the film makers intended...much better. Glad y'all are doing this. I got hooked and subbed with your Marvel content.💘
@BrightForest The issue is that in these voiceover dubs, there isn't a director telling the actors when to be subtly or overly emotional; and therefore the intentional tone of scenes can become misconstrued by dubbing, among many other issues that may arise. I don't think anyone should be shamed for choosing to watch via dub (it is an option for a reason), but it is undeniable that the Korean version is the intended and therefore superior format of the show.
It’s really fun watching you guys go through this for the first time. It’s definitely one of those shows that benefits from a re-watching. Also, I vote for an “Adam’s New York Tales” blog episode. This episode gets 4 out of 5 pancake fingers with extra CROOOONCH

They're what Vegas calls degenerate gamblers. They put not only themselves in financial and even physical harm, but the people around them because they just Can't help themselves... ... ... You know what? I keep finding Stephen King ties to this show and here's another one -- Remember Cat's Eye with the story of Quitters, Inc? The guy who ran Quitters, Inc had close friends who died because they were addicted to smoking, so that was his impetus for starting such a radical "treatment." What if the person who runs the Squid Game has the same reason? His father was a degenerate gambler, ruined his family's lives, and now, this is how he "helps" them change. After all, a thing in stasis can't be moved unless acted upon by an equal or greater force. The Squid Game is the greater force. Just a thought. haha
@BrightForest I loved that even though he had little to lose, the old man helped the people who wanted to leave. He wasn't selfish about what he wanted. Those people wanted to live, so he gave them the chance even though they decided to go back later. That was a good moment
