I am holding you back from the fire, but you are slipping from my hand." [Hadith: Muslim]
Explanation: The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) explains that his role in his nation is like that of a man in the wilderness who has lit a fire, and then the grasshoppers and moths begin to fall into it. This is the case with most small insects when they see a fire, as they are attracted to the light of the fire, until they get burned in it. The Messenger (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) states that his role is to push people away from the fire (of hell), just as this man is trying to push the insects away from the fire that he lit up. However, people are persistently trying to fall into the fire by disobeying him and not following his Sunnah.

Many of these apologists are really agnostic. They choose Christianity as their preferred religion because the version of Christianity they choose aligns with their own perspective. They don't choose it because they find it to be proven true or even rational or logical.
They chose Christianity because they believe that Jesus died for their sins. But Jesus obviously didnt die for their sins because on the cross he cried, 'My God, my God! Why hast thou forsaken me?' Doesnt that prove that Jesus didnt want to die, let alone for their sins?

In a sense, those words are true b/c a Jew would deduct that God LEFT (forsook) someone if He didn’t save or help him from AFFLICTION [“trouble” - KJV] (Psa. 10:1; 22:11). Maybe the Holy Spirit left him as Yeshua paid for the sins of the world. Nevertheless, Yeshua always knew that his death was part of God’s plan. Since there weren’t any chapters & verses back then, Yeshua uses that beginning expression to tell the audience to go read that Psalm. He was indicating to the eyewitnesses that some of the narration & events of that Psalm were unfolding before their eyes. @Kasimu259 - B/c Yeshua didn't write his own Gospel gives more credibility to the New Testament. If he wrote his own book, then He could edit or change it. His Apostles wrote his WORDS [dictation] down - perhaps as he uttered them. Then the discourses were organized into their final forms.

I suggest ‘The Clear Quran’ by Dr. Mustafa Kattab. It breaks up sections into themes, and thus is easier for the reader to process. It also doesn’t have so much of those parentheses.
the most authentic is the translation of Taqi-ud-Din Al-Hilali and Muhammad Muhsin Khan and it's published by darussalam publications according to what I read on Islamweb, they also mentioned other translation.

Basically, we believe in the torah that was GIVEN to Moses and the gospel that was GIVEN to jesus - not the old or new testament that came after their life time. Also in that verse it says, "what has been revealed by your lord" not what others wrote with their own hands. We believe that the gospel and the torah are allah's words not a book inspired by him.
Of course, they have either the history of Moses and Jesus or the interpretation of the initial revelation. It is closest to what we have of the narrations (ahadith), which in reality is far more authentic than anything they have.

@@yhwh353 so yes nobody can change gods words, but people can mis-attribute words to God, like someone can write a verse on a piece of paper and claim its from god (when it isn't). As for the preservation of the Torah and the Injeel (gospel) we believe in progressive revelation, those books (or revelations) weren't mean't for all of humanity- only for a specific place, people, and time, which is why God didn't find it necessary to preserve it, unlike the quran that God promised to preserve and is for all of humanity.

Judaism is not just following Moses. I think much of the religion comes from the Talmud, which is like their version of the Tafsir. Judaism is monotheistic and they believe in prophets, but aside from that, it is very different from Islam. Unless you’ve studied Judaism in depth, don’t say it is similar to Islam, beyond at a very surface level.
Likewise, Christianity is dissimilar to both Christianity and Islam. Christianity has the figure of Jesus, but to them he is not a prophet, but basically an extension of God.
If you want to do Dawah, then have good manners and honor. Don’t start telling people that Islam is similar to their religion and all of this nonsense.

This refers to the three Prophethoods: The Prophethood of Moses, the Prophethood of Jesus and the Prophethood of Muhammad.
"Coming from Sinai": Refers to the mountain where Allah spoke to Moses and called him and told him he was a Prophet.
"Dawning over them from Seir": Refers to the appearance of Jesus from Bayt al-Maqdis (Jerusalem). (Seir is a village that is still known there). So this was a foretelling of the Prophethood of Jesus.
"Paran": Refers to Makkah.
Allah likens the Prophethood of Moses to the coming of the dawn, and the Prophethood of Jesus after him to the rising of the sun, and the Prophethood of the Seal of the Prophets (Muhammad) to the sun rising high in the sky and its light reaching all over the earth.
And it came to pass exactly as foretold, for Allah dispelled the night of disbelief with the Prophethood of Moses, and the light increased with the Prophethood of Jesus, and was completed and reached everywhere on earth with the Prophethood of Muhammad.
These three Prophets who were mentioned in this foretelling were also mentioned in the beginning of Surat At-Teen: "By the fig and the olive [of Jerusalem], and by Mount Sinai [of Egypt], and by this secure city [of Makkah]." [Quran 95:1-3].
These are three different places, and that Allah sent a Messenger to each of them from the Leading Messengers, who delivered the Great Codes of Law. The first place is that of the fig and the olive, which was Jerusalem, where Allah sent Jesus. The second place is Mount Sinin, which is Mount Sinai where Allah spoke to Moses. The third place is Makkah, and it is the city of security where whoever enters is safe. It is also the city in which Muhammad was sent.
If the jews and Christians say that Islam is a false religion, they are also automatically saying that their religions are false as well. In the bible, God made a promise to Hagar and Abraham that he would make the descendants of Ishmael a great nation. Arabs, descendants of Ishmael became a great nation only through Islam. When the world was drowned in polytheism of the trinity, Islam restored the pure and strict monotheism of abrahamic faith. The Bible says that God will bless those who bless Abraham. The muslims are the ones who bless Abraham most daily in every prayer.

The sacrificial system which required blood for the remission of sins in the old testament is in Leviticus chapter 1, chapter 4 and chapter 5. Also read about the day of atonement and the Passover in the old testament to understand the link between blood and the forgiveness of sins. In both the old testament and new testament you can repent of your sins and be forgiven of your sins by God, but the basis upon which you're forgiven is because your sins have been atoned for by blood.

From the above:
1. Jesus said you can't come to know the Father (God) except through him. Not any other person, not prophet Muhammad and not the Quran.
2. You can't be saved except through the gospel. The gospel is translated from the Greek work evangelion which means good news. The good news is the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
3. If you deny the father and the son as the Quran does you've the spirit of the antichrist.
4. Jesus after his resurrection said all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to him. And that if anyone will be saved you've to be baptized in the name of the father, the son and the holy spirit (which by the way is one of the passages where Jesus directly teaches the doctrine of the trinity.)
5. If any man of angel teaches a different gospel other than what is in the bible (like the Quran claims) that person is accursed.
These are just a few points I've shared to show how the bible leaves no room for a Quran or additional revelation on salvation. There are many more. Thanks.
The biblical dilemma. The old and new testaments contradict each other. Yet christians say they believe in the old testament as well, but at the same time they will say the new testament is a new covenant that abrogates the old testament. You can't have it both ways. And more importantly, the new testament is not the gospel preached by Jesus. It's just one dilemma after another.

Don't know who wrote it though, the books contains much contradictions within itself and other versions of itself. We don't know which verse actually the word of God or which one been taken out or changed. The initial verse I mentioned, yeah no credibility for it.
