Thanks for keeping Elvis' Legacy alive. He gave his all even when very sick and close to the end. Please note that Elvis was bloated from taking many prescriptions for his many illnesses. He did not drink or take street drugs.
I’ve been reading many of the books about Elvis. I’m learning more about his environment I the last years. He was responsible for so many and his generosity was taken advantage of. Another thing we know now but didn’t know at the time was the side effects of medication and how that leads to more medication. 💔 A terrible cycle. That beautiful man. ❤❤❤❤ I can’t think of anyone in history that comes close to him.
THERE SURE WAS ALOT OF FACTORS THAT CONTRIBUTE TO HIS HEALTH.. BUT HIM HAVING A TWISTED COLON WAS HUGE.. LISA MARIE HAD ONE ALSO.. HIS MOM GONE TO SOON AND HER SON ELVIS'S GRANDSON AND LISA.. MAY THE ANGEL'S HOLD THEM ALL TIGHT..🕊🕊🕊
Hi, I've just discovered your Elvis channel. As a lifelong Elvis fan I'm delighted! Always a pleasure seeing the younger generation discover this legend. Phenomenal voice and talent. He is still loved worldwide and will never be forgotten. TCB! 🎶⚡🇿🇦🌍
Thank you for your wonderful comment! I’m so glad you found my channel. It’s amazing how Elvis continues to connect generations with his phenomenal voice and talent. He truly will never be forgotten. TCB! 🎶⚡
@@kangavalma7399 Hello friend Valma from Australia. You're a huge Elvis fan.. I like this channel, it's for us who appreciate the greatest voice ever. 🇦🇺🇿🇦
Once again you have hit the nail on the head. Elvis comes in with his gorgeous masculine and emotional voice. I never stop thinking what more he would have given us with this incredible gift jad he lived.
I find this heartbreaking to watch but as you say his voice never let's him down. Thank goodness we have these performances that we can watch and listen to. Thank you Rene for another great video.
One thing that made Elvis so amazing was that he never hesitated to encourage other artists. He was not selfish . He was very proud of the talent he had with him and didn’t hesitate to share the spotlight.
Elvis was very generous to give this person credit. He was proud of his singers and Elvis was not lacking his talent as a matter of fact I adored his voice as he got older. No you are right he was talented to the end, Makes me sad that he was so sick but pushed himself to please his fans.
Elvis still had his voice, AND he still had his spirit, for fun, for music, and for sharing and being in touch with other musicians on the stage with him - it had to be J.D. coming in with the real low "won't wait." Isn't it wonderful that recordings let us still experience Elvis' talent.
Even though he was ill he still had that sexy smile and his voice outstanding sitting here watching this with tears rolling down my face, SADLY MISSED 😢😂❤
Thankyou for this Rene. He was a very special entertainer til the end. His dazzling smile his sense of fun was all there. Love that so many of the younger generation can see through the bull that has been said and appreciate his God given talent 😊
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Wow ya keep blowing me away we some of theas vids I never seen b4,I don't usually like watching elvis like this cus it hurts me to see him like this, but cus of you I've now watched 77 version of surrender, that's thanx to you otherwise I wud not of watched it because its to painful to see the greatest of all time like this, but now ime glad I watched it,your doing a excellent job, keep it up🇬🇧🍻🇺🇸🫡
I love Elvis at all his evolutionary career but this made me cry. To see this performance on TV two months after his death was heartbreaking. I wish I could have seen him alive. 😪😢🙏🏻
Yes Roy Orbison. You have a great ear Rene - I never would have picked that up. This performance while showcasing his amazing talent, dedication and work ethic breaks my heart because he clearly was not well. 💔
Beautiful. Sherrill reminded me of Roy also.Thank you Rene for sharing this magnificent performance. Our Elvis....he gave us all he had for as long as he could. It is heartbreaking to know he was suffering but he never wanted to disappoint his fans so he TCB as only he could. I am proud of his courage and dedication to us and his craft to still perform when feeling so ill. BRAVO ELVIS!!!!!❤❤❤
Buonasera So che Elvis adorava canzoni romantiche , le ballades (mi pare le chiamasse cosi) e gli piaceva il tipo di melodia italiana. Questa canzone e altre (Surrender e We don't have to say you love me, spero di aver scritto bene...) sono rifacimenti in inglese di testi italiani.
Please react to a super cool, funk gospel song from Elvis: I have a feeling in my body. He was way ahead of his time, could sing any genre. Thanks René. 👍
-- -- -- -- I actually saw a 1 page list of his health problems. When the autopsy was done, it found no illegal substances. Every drug was a medicine which corresponded to a health problem. Every med was prescribed. While I will accept he likely had dependency on them, that is not uncommon. Seldom discussed are his emotional problems (depression, loss of loved ones he never recovered from, etc) all which factored in. The pain he experienced required pain mitigation, and if alive today, some of these same meds would still be required. Becoming dependent is hardly the unforgivable sin. Any of us may find ourselves in this situation as we age.
I believe Elvis pushed past the pain valiantly and somehow surrendered himself to the music and his loyal and loving audience, whom he called "fantastic" ...and he could have been having fun with word play, in referring to them as FAN- tastic!
I think it depends on what people mean by failed him or didn't fail him. I wouldn't go as far as saying his voice failed him but he was a significantly better singer in 1970 than in 1977 in almost every aspect. 77 Elvis could perhaps go a bit deeper and would be perhaps a bit more comfortable bellowing an operatic style high note but in my opinion those are the only aspects which haven't worsened. Still love him though.
In my video, I mentioned that his voice never failed him, even in his later years when he was ill. While I agree that in 1970 he was in better physical shape and his voice reflected that with more dynamics, I still believe his voice remained incredible throughout his entire career. That’s what makes Elvis so unique to me, not just the diversity in his singing but also how his voice changed over the years. Even when he had trouble speaking or finding the right words, his singing voice stayed strong and expressive.
@Hidden_Minds yeah I don't mean to be too critical. His voice changed many times more than what would probably be considered "normal". One positive example that springs to mind is the rags to riches live in 1976 vs the studio version in 1970. 76 Elvis crushes it and he's so good it's almost like he's not even having to try. 70 in the studio is strained.
@mrsongman I know and I get what you’re saying, I don’t mind fair discussions 😉. But yeah it also depends which songs, many or most earlier performances I prefer over the 77 performances too and some fits better with his voice in the later years.
Elvis sang one verse of Where Could I Go But To The Lord? in the '68 Comeback Special (part of a gospel medley). He had recorded it earlier, on May 27, 1966. The '68 version is more raw, intense and soulful, while the studio version is more subdued and mellow. What do you think?
In December 1976, Elvis unexpectedly appeared on stage during Orbison’s show at Caesar’s Palace and praised him as “the greatest singer in the world.”
Thanks for keeping Elvis' Legacy alive. He gave his all even when very sick and close to the end. Please note that Elvis was bloated from taking many prescriptions for his many illnesses. He did not drink or take street drugs.
Dziękuję, że to powiedziałeś, to prawda , Elvis nie byl uzalezniony ani od narkotykow ani od lekow..!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Elvis na zawsze !! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I've always preferred the voice of the older Elvis ... such power and depth , more meaningful songs that showed off his versatility ! TCB forever !

Excellent statement
Sorry to say this but Sherrill Nielson on this is over the top and spoiling this for me.I know Elvis loved it but to me all we needed was Elvis.😱
I believe Elvis pushed past the pain valiantly and somehow surrendered himself to the music and his loyal and loving audience, whom he called "fantastic" ...and he could have been having fun with word play, in referring to them as FAN- tastic!
-------- although I think his power was to the max in 77, I think his best live version of this song was in 1971, little known.

Yes I agree with you. Just like you said raw, soulful, intense. Couldn’t said it any better
