In 1982, cruising was still popular. My boyfriend and I weren't the only ones to offer a friend of ours who'd been drinking a ride home. He lived about 15 miles out of town. The next morning at work, the bread delivery guy told me that a family of five was k!lled in a drunk driving accident, but the teen at fault was in the hospital. He lived, paralyzed from the waist down. Calvin Cambell swore from that year forward to spend his waking moment sober and working to raise money for drinking and driving charities. Last I heard, he was still doing marathons for those with different abilities for charities.

Team Hoyt you guys are badass, saw you guys in Kona (hometown) years ago, you two are real Ironmen. You two make everyone else like us who are young and have no physical handicap inspired, because despite looking like normal folks we'd see anywhere, you guys have wills and inner fortitude most of us could wish for just running that hill or sprinting that bend. Mr Hoyt , I hope GOD has a special place for you in heaven, There are very few people like you in this world: I have known people who have
a disable child and they are real quick to place him in a Mental ward, BUT you stuck with your son all the way.. god bless
