Tralee - Fenit Greenway - Cycle-along

We were blessed with some largely dry, crisp clear weather for this week's cycle from Tralee to Fenit. The journey begins at the traffic lights by Casement station.
The Greenway follows the path of the Tralee to Fenit railway which opened in 1887 and closed in 1978. Under development since 2009, the greenway got the greenlight in 2017, when CIE both the Tralee to Fenit line and the North Kerry line (from Tralee to Limerick) to Kerry County Council. A big thank you to everyone who worked, walked and campaigned to get this fabulous amenity off the ground.
