How does it works that it's C Major but the actual major scale that suits to play along is Bb? Wouldn't the song be in Bb? Like the Ionian mode for this song is Bb. The C is the Dorian one. I'm just starting with harmony, and I'm getting confused when this happens. Can someone explain? Thanks

I think of it as a minor IV -> I cadence... so playing it as if it's an Fm7
