Wow! What a haul! You did great!! I’m with you on the mini brands surprise toys. No way I’d pay $5 or $7. Crazy! I would, however, send the mini blaster and Nerf gun in a Superheroes or Star Wars box with along with a figure. I realize that’s a personal decision, but they are allowed, as they are obviously not realistic, being mini, and the boys will love them. Oh, I’m so glad you found some of those bead kits (and scissors) at HL. Thanks for the shout out. Oh my goodness, I guess I’ve got to go back to HL for bandanas and to see what’s new on clearance. I am so envious I don’t have a Kroger. I need to petition for one or write to Kroger or the governor or something 😂. I love that tortoise and the hare book from DT. It’s so cute and colorful. I have one for a turtle box that is likely not going to happen this year, bc all I’ve got for it so far is the book and a stuffie 😆, so I can’t wait to see what you’ve got up your sleeves for yours. My turtle box is such a mis-mash of all kings of turtles. Sea turtles, tortoise, ninja turtles. Anything turtle. 🤣 🐢 I hope I can find enough stuff for it this year. Good luck with after Easter Clearance I can’t wait to see what you find.

Love your haul 🥰 went to HL yesterday after watching your vid. Yay! I found the hair bows. I found a strip of 12 for $2.49 and another strip of 12 for $1.99. I was thrilled. Now, to find some simple headbands on clearance somewhere to clip them to . . . I also found a couple charms, iron on patches, and hair clips. So happy you found some scissors. My HL has no more Playside Creations items anymore. And, in the general area where all the kids crafts used to be has been condensed/cleared out and there is just this huge empty area with nothing. Hoping and praying HL gets a good substitute for PC items. I eat a lot of Happy Meals when I like the Toys for my boxes 🤷🏻♀️ I figure a plain hamburger, apples, milk, and 7 French Fries 😂 isn’t bad at all for lunch. 😉 the Dino’s are fantastic!

I just wanted you to know how much we are alike. I am and emotional eater and use shopping therapy too. I love watching your videos and learn alot! Our church was able to send 403 boxes this year and make 400 children go on The Greatest Journey! God has really bless me to be able to work for His kingdom for the past 3 years. It always sad to lose loved ones from our lives in this time and place, but we know the joy they must be experiencing, and we can find some comfort in their new lives in heaven. I pray your families will feel the amazing love and peace that Holy Spirit brings to those who mourn. Thanks for sharing your clearance finds. I get out so infrequently anymore to shop in person, but it's good to know what to be on lookout for in case I can. I thought I was done with Hobby Lobby clearances until after Easter, but I had to hit a couple of them. I was able to get bows and bandanas. I would be okay with sending the small Nerf type guns with action figures. Kids really love accessories with dolls and action figures. ❤️

Does OCC allow unisex boxes where a girl can receive a dinosaur or is it strictly gendered male and female? Just curious before I submit my first OCC box to the closest distribution center.
Soooo, yes and no. You can pack a box to be unisex with no gender specific items. 👍👍 But the boxes are stored and shipped by gender. Missionaries apply for the boxes based on the ages and genders of the kiddos that will attend their parties and the the boxes are distributed to the kiddos in the same way. So because of that OCC asked us to give the box a specific label even if it is not packed gender specific. My tip would be to write a small note on the clearly marked label so the missionaries can use the box how you intended. Meaning mark the box for a boy and write on it. Ok for a girl if needed. They will appreciate it. ❤️❤️❤️

I believe you have to select a gender for your box but you are free to fill it however you wish.
