That moody blue was hittin. Def my fave. Also, cinematic to me is achieved when you have the fit and feel of movie scene. That really still, quiet background or perfectly placed subject in the mix of whatever could be happening is cinematic to me
My favorite lighting from this video was definitely the pink backdrop set up. It was clean. I do enjoy the dark moody contrast looks too but there’s something about the play on colors and a higher key look that creates a more stunning effect.
This ladies and gents is what real experience brings to the table. Please do more lighting vids! All the camera bodies in the world will do you no good if you don't have an understanding of lighting down.

But with backdrops you need to treat it like a character in your video. With paper coloured backdrops you need separation of space. Light it first. Then bring in the talent.

But I get your point, was just a good faith suggestion for that particular shot as I have done a lot of these for client with backdrops and painted walls etc. His other shots were dope tho.

Only the dark setup that deserves the subject to be seated in diagonal, but the bright setup a straight forward seating is more likable.
