glancing at the padres batting averages, they hit a lot. And it seems when our bp pitches to skilled hitters, they get rocked. suarez was effective for them right when we needed a breakthrough most. Alvarez was pitching all around the zone borders ... rarely for strikes. I'm going to take that as a step in the right direction. Better than the meatballs he'd been throwing. Two average bp men pitching to some good hitters gave the game away. We can keep sputtering along giving up the odd game due to our average bp. But guys are going to have to get better if we want to do anything in the post season.
This was what I call a Counsell loss. Pulling Steele who has no runs allowed in the middle of an inning where he is doing well, that's a Counsell. I'm not going to miss those kinds of losses.
@@Valton_Baseball Sorry. I forgot to mention that I am Korean so I am used to follow the Korean convention of saying the surname first. I am a new fan of the Padres. Kim Ha-Seong brought me here.
our bats arent the problem, when suzuki and bellinger return we should be fine. our problem is our starting pitchers pitch near flawless 6 innings and our bullpen throws the game away
Pesima edicion del juego por MLB, los primeros 3 innings duran 6 minutos y al resto del juego solo muestran dos minutos y medio, no muestran la parte mas interesante del juego.
5 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 5 K Matsui almost ruined a good pitch by Darvish. I'm glad the team won, but I hope he feels bad about it. Otherwise, he would have been traded like that useless Korean. 😕
@@evanfunk7335he hasn’t been great, he’s just been lucky. Considering he was a strikeout pitcher in Japan, it’s pretty bad that he has an extremely low k rate for a reliever right now. His walks are also up, and he’s sitting at like a 1.4k/BB rate. His k rate is statistically almost half, while his walk rate has more than doubled compared to his last season in Japan. It’s only a matter of time before timely hitting or seeing eye singles come back to bite you with metrics like that. Considering the one knock scouts had on him was that they didn’t know if he could sustain his k’s with relatively slow pitches for a reliever, it’s not really surprising.
Yu Darvish, nice pitching🔥
Josh hader who??!!! SUAREZ was CLUTCH!!
We hate hader
SUAREZ can do 4 out saves, NOT HADER.
Edit- he did a 5 out save, OH MAN, Josh Hader watching in disgust.
@@joshuastar77 Who's Hader playing for these days?
@@adamhasideas6813 for Houston, and he has like a 6 ERA for them, and he can't even get 3 out saves now.
Suárez puts Hader to shame
Darvish is now two wins away from reaching 200 wins between NPB and MLB. Let's Go Darvish
He is so special.
あと2勝! ダルさん、頑張って! 🔥💪🏻
Putting up 6 without Manny is good to see
@user-oy7po4ph8ono it's because Chicago bullpen is either lights out or gives up 3-12 runs lol
That bottom of the 8th was crucial... SmH... on to the next game, Win or Lose...

Beautiful Hits from Tatis
how does the first inning take up half the video?
pitchers duel half the game, nothing to see besides 3 outs for 5 innings
lmao I was just thinking the same thing
Only after starting pitchers from both team were changed the scoreboard finally move. Darvish and Steele did great
Not sure what the other team got but Arraez was a great pick up. But for all his hits to matter, the Padres need to start hitting the ball allot more
to be fair, all of Arraez's hits were right to the infielders that game

Can Suarez pitch the last three inning every game?
Every time you comment, I remember you from last time this is Padres played😂
@@Baseball56781 Fine but you didn't answer my question. Can Suarez pitch 18 innings/week?

gonna keep saying, The cubs wont make playoffs with this bullpen! SOMETHING HAS TO CHANGE!
So true
We will address it by trade deadline i guarantee it bud

Let’s go boys! Let’s start stringing some wins together!
Padres bullpen should be fined for that disgusting performance. Suarez should collect the fines.

Terrible thing to say. Yuki has been great, but had one bad outing today. He is one of the only good arms in the bullpen
@hauntedrapper Which is kinda sad if you think about it. Then again its the Marlins, they might as well be a farm system for rest of the league.
