My families pitbull did that too, ear infection, head shaking, ear flapping. The vet drained her ears then stitched the separated layers of her ears so they'd heal into one piece again. It worked, her ears were no longer silky smooth, but she didn't seem to mind. I hope she heals up quickly and completely! God bless you both!
I’m hoping we don’t have to go that route, her ear will be deformed when it heals but that’s ok
My Lab loved being in the water, ear issues were a constant. Helped when I cleaned them and applied a drying agent. Good luck with build
Yes I think this started from her getting water in her ears when we were in the river

Great to see both of you both back in the woods. Poor Gracie looks a little embarrassed, I think she is putting up with her headdress so you don't get worried. It looks like you have been rather busy off camera, it appears the time away was well spent. Looking forward to Gracie's speedy recovery, and of course, seeing some more progress on the cabin. Cory and Gracie, it is so good to see you! I was wondering when you were going to have another video, and I was nicely surprised seeing one this morning. Nice job on the wood with the wood mizer ! love the wildlife the bucks and does in the water! love the moose too. Cory my dog got one of those hematomata in his ear as well and it took a long time for it go down as well . I have never seen a babushka for a dog, I think it is cute! What cute little Gracie girl. Good seeing you and Gracie and the exciting progress with the cabin. Fall just came on fast it seems. Gracie looks miserable with her bonnet on....glad it wasn't more serious like a bite, fall or machine injury or something. After all, Gracie is the Queen 👸 and Star 🌟 of the show and this cabin must be top notch for her. Can't wait to see the crew work with you to get this Cabin along before Winter. Our neighbors across the road used the same kind of set up when they milled lumber from their land for a barn rebuild. It was fascinating to watch. Your little get-away is coming along very well!
The mill works great, I don’t plan on buying any commercial lumber for this project

It feels really good to be building something now
Good to see you again, brother. You are doing good work prepping your floor system. If you don't want to use shims you could determine the lowest post and then make small notches in the rest of the bearing points on your beams. I have a soft cone on my lab right now. They are forever injuring themselves. It is a worry, but if we do our best we can help them eventually heal up and be their old self again. Take good care.

I can't believe this. Friday before labor day i was startled by the water balloon hanging from her head where her ear was. It was shocking to see what happened to her ear in a short time. Emergency call said it wasn't an emergency and standard vet could take care of it. its a slow process waiting for the fluid to drain but it is working. 4yr old chocolate lab, she's miserable not being able to shake her head.

My best friend Seven was diagnosed with cancer a few months back, and the vet gave her 6 months at best. I am retired, and Seven has been by my side 24/7 for the last 5 years. I try not to think of the inevitable, and I spoil him as much as possible during our final days together. When your dog isn't feeling well, or hurt it just seems to throw off your whole routine. I know how you feel about Gracie so it must be hard to work and worry about putting out videos. We will pray for you, and hope the Lord gives you strength and understanding during this time. Hope Gracie returns to full health soon. Love the pickin, keep it up.

Lol, I thought he knew it was there so i didn’t say anything but he didn’t realize it
Corey because of the frost you should have adjustable posts on all of them. As you are aware and have seen how the frost will push rocks to the surface.
The posts are set below frost line
@@TheMaineWoodsand there are sleeves that go up and down with the frost leaving the posts stationary.
Corey, if need be, you could shim the beam and post with a flat piece of hardwood. Cut it whatever thickness you need. My guess is you're in the ballpark with the posts being the same height. Get them close, but remember you're not building a piano! 😂
BTW, the milled lumber looks great!
It should be within 1/8” overall, not a piano but a level base is important to start with

Taking your time now with the floor should make for a relatively good build for you... Enjoy the process, you can't beat where you're building...

Had a dog that a bear clawed her ear. Got infected just like that. She had to have antibiotics to get it healed up. Blessings.

Poor little Gracie. She doesn’t look ridiculous. She’s very beautiful no matter what. I actually thought the babushka was to protect her ears from flies, or mosquitoes. There you go. I’m sweating on heaven not having any of those little pesky bugs. Please Jesus ✝️💟
