    As a mother who lost her 21 y/o son to fentanyl, thank you for being so aware of a problem that is killing a generation…there needs to be mandatory education with fentanyl in every school. But there is not. This poor family loss is horrible. You can tell the remaining sibling is trying to hold it together for her parents,but I guarantee she is pained to her core

    • @melfreemans

      I tried to talk about fentanyl with my niece...she's in her early 20s. Her parents got angry at me. They have "not MY child syndrome"! I don't care how angry parents get... it could save their kids life to hear about the dangers of fentanyl!!!!
      I hate that this happened to your family. It definitely should be discussed in school at an elementary level. Kids as young as 12 are dying.

      Don't blame others for the drugs, blame yourself. He is an American, seemed to have had a good childhood with family, and had freedom to say no to drugs. The consumption drives the demand, not the flow of drugs.

    • @moswiney2737
      @moswiney2737 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jacqueslee2592well, doesn’t take a genius to recognize consumption is a problem but let’s be real here. China (think the CCP) are the ones shipping the chemicals into Mexico to be processed into fake pills and other drugs. My son made a choice one time, but you need to do a little research on how the opioids affect the brain receptors. Once you’ve made the bad choice (usually as a teenager or young adult - before your adult mind is completely formed)the drug controls you. Obviously you have never seen this first hand (aren’t you lucky)otherwise you would understand what a major problem this is. Thankfully, I don’t let comments like yours bother me much anymore. Because I know you don’t really have any idea of what is really going on. If you did, you would run in horror and not make comments like this on videos where parents have lost their children and are just trying to warn other parents. Get a life

      Same here in Minneapolis. Lost my 24 yr old daughter Dec 1, 2022 💔to fentanyl and her case is still open. Taj K. who was with her and gave her the fentanyl didnt try and save her when she was overdosing. He didn't come get us until 1pm the next day. He threw the pills in the in the trash, which we found later. He even told the cops who he bought the pills from and they still let him go and didn't keep his phone. All the evidence was let go. Police need to treat these cases as homicides not just another overdose. MN is a state with drug induced homicide law so still praying for justice.

    I'm surprised the danger of ingesting ANY pill not bought in a licensed pharmacy isn't more widely known. If you are buying any pill on the street, regardless of what you or the dealer think it is, e.g., Oxycontin, Percocet, Vicodin, Xanax, etc., there is a better-than-even chance it also contains a lethal (fatal) dose of fentanyl. It may sound corny, but intensive education in high schools is necessary in this regard.

    Please pay attention to your children and DO use the old school parenting that they want us to forget about. At this day and time we need the old school and even more to keep our children alive. That peer pressure is a beast. Kids will just pop a pill in their mouth if offered, just to be liked. Its that serious.

      At the end of the day, kids and adults make CHOICES. Children can be raised in a good household with good parents and try drugs because they are curious or because they have bad friends who encourage them to do bad habits. Everything we do in life is a CHOICE.

    The brother died, and the parents and surviving siblings buried their heads even deeper in the sand. The absolutely refuse to take responsibility for their actions, preferring to place the blame elsewhere. They need to look at why the society is unhappy and unstable, and stop passing off the addictions as just something kids do.

      Do you think you can stop this. I would take my sons phone when he passed out to see what was going on. Searched his room. Checked his poc 6:10 kets when he walked by.He was in and out of re-habs. Kicked him out of the house. He had suboxen pills available and had the shot lined up. Found him on the bathroom floor. Nasal spray didn't work. He passed from a needle with cocaine laced with fentynal. Had so much support and still he couldn't stop.😢
