kosem reminds me so much of hurrem, i wish hurrem was like that from the begin, zero respect and fear for her enemies hehehehehe.. it took hurrem 103 episodes to stand up her head while it took like 9-10 for kosem lol
@@DimSK. Hürrem was kinda alone. She got the whole harem ganging up on her (Valide, Hatice, Mahidevran, Gülsa), while everybody seems to love Kösem from the beginning that’s why she’s so proud. Handan was kinda weak as a Valide Sultan compared to Hafsa (Suleiman’s Mother). Safiye fell because of Fahriye. Halime seems like a smart one, but she’s still on good term with Kösem, I guess.

Ahmed finally saw Kosem. She may have lost her innocence that made her different from the others, which upset him, but she gained intelligence. At least in this drama series.
He saw kosem lost her innocence but he did not saw why she lost it. Cause she was beaten up cruelly by cennet when he had chicken pox also the way safiye did her dad so dirty
I started having a lot more sympathy for Fahriye when I learned that she had been married three times but the marriages were political alliances. She was never able to marry for love. Heartbreaking 💔

The directors did well in picking the actress for Safiyya. The young Safiyya from the first episode looks very much like this older version. Similar eyes and features
I wish if they made a season about safiye or nurbanu as they did with hürrem and kösem. Actually they can put them together in the same season as a mother and daughter in law.

I think she simply got arrogant. There was no reason to her to always have to be in thick of things, just so she could gloat about her triumphs. She could have done what she needed to do behind the scenes and still been able to play off being innocent.
Oh brilliant acting. I am so addicted to this series. I loved the scene how they tricked Fahriye and caught her and then how the Sultan forgave Dervish. The build up and intensity, great actors. Thanks for making the show so entertaining ♥ 🤩😍

I feel so sorry for Fahriye. All she want was to be with someone she love. But love kills her future when she poisoned Sultan Ahmet.
Fahriye may have felt that the best way for her to marry Mehmet Giray instead of Allah-knows-who in yet ANOTHER political alliance was to make Mehmet Sultan. Unfortunately the only way that Fahriye could do that was by poisoning Ahmed and everyone's favorite little cutie prince Mustafa. Love does INDEED make you do crazy things.

Hurrem was innocent. Her character depicted the real transformation of a poor girl from a concubine to a powerful queen.but kosem has a very rapid and unnatural transformation her involvement in politics and political tactics looks too much unnatural for a a very young concubine having a just one child

Hurrem didn’t go about killing people left right centre. She was ambitious, but not as power hungry as Kosem. Kosem was the apple of the eye since day 1. Hurrem never had it easy.

In this series it's survival for the fittest that about all... Though I wish golge would have stayed with kosem until towards they end...
The women do everything to protect Sultan Ahmed and his throne. But he goes around feeling righteous, judging them, not heeding warnings, getting fooled by everybody, running in the woods taking unnecessary risks pretending to be a real soldier, and leaving the women in the palace to deal with the consequences as best they can. Kosem got people killed trying to escape all the time, just to go back to the harem when she finally succeeded, not caring about Iskander almost getting killed trying to help her. And also later when she kept going toe to toe against older, established powerful sultanas and talking trash to everybody. But at least she grew up. He's still a stupid little boy ruining around yelling "Respect my authority! I do what I want!" and daydreaming about being great. He can't protect anybody and even worse, puts them in danger with his reckless, selfish attitude and makes it harder for them to protect him. I like him less and less with every episode.

Handan Sultan tried but not one string of rope got into Sehzade Mustafa’s neck whereas Fahriye poisoned and cause them to get smallpox to both Ahmed and Mustafa. Valide Sultan’s position is needed so Handan Sultan can act as advisor/ruler of the Harem.
