Henri promised but Stephanie has followed through. Helping others find a chateau or smaller homes. She made a tour of a Chateaux and sheltered people while they found or went though the process of getting their new home. Not always a perfect process but appreciated. 🤣
Stephanie is a giver at heart as well as an appreciative receiver…….for generous, well meaning people things do fall into their laps…..

Even I’m crying. I remember when Steve and you were talking about this. Steve and his wife have been in the interim, in the middle of moving to France from Canada, have been putting together their chateau , etc., etc. They’re an admirable couple and I am so glad that you are all friends supporting some of the same endeavors. Steve and Sarah you have so many varied talents and it has been a pleasure watching your progress to this beautiful Chateau from your visits to la Lande. Your Chateau is gorgeous and those outbuildings are so appealing to me in their original state as stables. 🥰🌹

Never have I more wished I could be a Patron! Funds are tight, but gosh I wish I could see that video of Steve talking about the tiles! They're one of the things I've been the most excited for, as they're essentially a permanent instillation of your father's artwork and ensure that his art will forever be a part of the chateau.
Don’t worry, I will show them a lot more in future when we install them in the kitchen 💙

Steve you are a friend beyond words. I saw the video of the wall papered water closet and it is fantastic & charming. I would love to see a bedroom room done in period and style but using only your fathers art but made in to textiles. I think layered fabrics for window dressings, pillows layered, bedding .chair backs to frame in his characters. You could retire just selling his art reproduced in splash back tiles. I can't begin to tell you how much, I love your fathers work. I think your dad just may have had thee greatest sense of humor. Thanks for sharing something so special. Sorry for blabbing Please sell his art to fund a room in the chateau dedicated to his art made by his art. I think that would be amazing and a cool way to share him with the world. or maybe I missed that video series Must keep watching ❤

Stairs reminding me of convent that raised me from 5 till 16. The stairs were twice as wide. This was England and I moved to usa

There home and grounds are gorgeous, the village is so picturesque! Living the dream aren't they? The Dordogne has a lot of expats. I bet there is quite the community within that group.

I too was brought to tears when you were presented the tiles - how incredibly stunning they were. .. All the chateaus you show us are amazing & astounding, but none of them carry the skill that you have w/ fabrics & decor. I think they should consider hiring you to doing their window treatments, but finding the time would probably be difficult. Thx for sharing! 🥰

Sarah has learned to oil and repair foot pushed sewing machines. She and their Volunteers are doing the window treatments. A master class with her, Stephanie and Michael (who did the longest curtains I have ever seen) would be epic! 🤣
