What fun you two brave seniors are. I am not even sure one should call you “seniors” with your energy and bravery 💗
That was amazing! Seriously, Curtis showed you all Egypt in a way that no one else could or would have. When you got to crouch down and scurry inside of a tomb with bats I was so jealous. Every single part of your adventure was like a dream come true. I travelled every bit of it vicariously though you all. Thank you.
I could not crawl around in there. Too clostrophobic. I was in CAIRO Egypt also 2011. Stayed at Giza 2 days. Saw. Pyramids. Incredible trip and so very generous of Curtis to host you all. I loved every bit of this. Mummy hiding Percy's transparency was hillarious. For her eyes only I am sure! Adorable! Very brave of you both to go in those tunnels. Looking forward to next week.
I'm in love with Curtis, I loved his long hair, but he is still stunningly good looking, the way he speaks & voice, his knowledge, calmness, and beautiful smile, just love him.
So much to take in, I went to Egypt in 2000 and stayed in a hostel in Cairo, We were a 5-minute walk from the Nile, the Museum, and the Hilton hotel. The museum was full of giant columns and carts from the tombs. boxes everywhere and no one stopped you from touching them until you came to Tutankhamun's body. A whole room was full of the trinkets that were found between his bandages and it was all low light so as not to damage them. After that, we were ushered quietly into the room containing his mummy with a golden mask, etc, I can not describe the feeling of seeing that for myself, it was like I had been transported back in time. It cost 25 Egyptian pounds to hire a taxi for the day to take us to Giza and the Sphinx etc. It was mind-blowing. we then traveled across the desert on a coach for 9 hours to a place called Nuweiba. For the entire journey, we sat under the speakers and the Koram was read out very loudly. I saw herds of wild camels. Once we got to Nuweiba we slept on the beach and swam with a wild dolphin that the local Bedouin villagers had adopted. I will never forget the experience.
I was also transported to a different era driving through the desert and visiting the ancient tombs in the Valley of the Kings. An experience I won’t forget.
Stephanie, you hair style is astounding the evening of the hibiscus cocktails! Very 1930's, and of course throughout the episode, the dandy Phillip looks like he belongs! But were is Hercule Poirot? 😀
A friend often used to play draughts in the dessert with the Bedouin; they pile up the sand and flatten it, grid it and then choose 'light or dark 'checkers'. Light checkers are dried camel droppings and dark checkers are fresh camel droppings.🙈😂. Necessity, Mother of invention💞. Loved your trip. Thanks. xx
Wow, did you enjoy the holiday. I went on a Nile cruise and cruised lake Nasser back in 2001, which took 4 days if I remember. I remember waking up and seeing abu simbel outside my cabin window... Glorious! I've always wanted to do a cruise on the Nile on one of those ships like "The Sudan" which is one of those classic 1930'S paddle steamers that have been restored. When I did the cruise it was on a big ship with a group of very unimpressed german tourists... Thank you for bringing back some wonderful memories!
I have NEVER seen a youtube video that takes you so actually and truly into the adventure (she lets us read the menus with her, listen to the sounds of the boat). Stephanie, I love this most about you! And my favorite 'character' is Isabelle...
Fabulous to relive a Nile cruise trip we made for our 15th wedding anniversary (16 years ago 😮). We visited all the temples, Nubia, Valley of the Kings and Queens and to celebrate our actual anniversary we had a champagne balloon ride at sunrise over the Valley of the Kings. Magical. ❤
As always, educational and fun! Loved seeing all of you together. Beautifully done, Steph. Curtis, Vivian, Sara, and Steve are right. You are the "catalyst." One who always lifts others up. Thank you so much.
When i see places like this, the temples, the tombs, etc., I always wish, that they could somehow make a replica of just one of those temples, but as it was in its glory days. Just so that instead of the crumbling, dusty ruins, you could actually somewhat experience it, as it was meant to be seen. So much has been lost over time, and I think that would really have an impact on the experience. The same could be done in other places too.
I very much agree, my gf & I have talked about this many times (our holidays always consit of visiting castles, ancient sites, Roman remains, old churches, etc.) Thinking back to Steph's earlier video of the medieval castle being renovated using, as much as possible, original methods, I guess the big problem with this concept is how one could have such a place given that so much of its design and indeed operation would not be 'compliant' with modern standards, ie. safely rules, access laws, regulations concerning food, hygiene and waste, etc. Unless there were a way of a proper replica being given some kind of exemption status, I bet in most locations such a venue would never be allowed to open, or even to be built. How does one get round modern laws about building codes, public access, etc.? Castles were effectively tools of power in one form or another (military, control of territory, or in more peaceful times a statement of position and status), built in all its myriad ways with particular needs in mind, none of which exactly align with tourism. :D Let's say though that it could be done, somehow, perhaps a place with a more relaxed set of rules & codes (somewhere in the US possibly, like Texas), or maybe visitors could sign a disclaimer and waver of normal rights & suchlike (as in, yes there will be very narrow corridors, very steep steps, walkways with no handrails, dark places, and almost nowhere accessible by invalids), even then though I wonder if the kind of experience you're alluding to might be somewhat spoiled by the presence of others wearing, as it were, modern garb, filming away with their smartphones and so on. Doubly so if such a setup was popular, ie. the atmosphere one is going for would be hard to maintain if it was brimming with tourists. Reminds me of places like Portmerion, which are best seen in the very early hours when it's virtually empty (it's where "The Prisoner" was filmed), because later in the day it's heaving with tourists which kinda spoils it somewhat. I've seen similiar comments from those who've visitied famous places in Italy, Greece and elsewhere, sometimes the sheer number of people can diminish the experience. Perhaps the only way it could be done is via long term stay, in which visitors wore period clothes, lived as the inhabitants would have at the time (a bit like the Westworld holiday concept, ref the original movie btw), and hence very expensive, make it more exclusive and thus more appealing only to those with genuine interest. But then, how far does one take this? Would cameras, phones, etc. not be allowed within? I think Westworld had that idea. Let's again assume though that visitors were content with whatever restrictions were chosen; what it boils down to in the end is, would such an idea be commercially viable? Probably not. The staffing of such a place alone would be an extraordinary task, a job quite unlike any other; not impossible though, eg. places such as Beamish have staff who are very dedicated and love their work. Perhaps though not exactly ammenable to a daily commite, more like somewhere that staff actually live. Maybe then it could only be done by someone with the money to spend who wanted to do it for the sheer love of seeing it become a reality for its own sake, rather than an attempt to make a profitable tourist attraction. Heh, it's a Schrodinger tourist attraction: the act of visiting such a place would, unless by limitation of modern norms, ruin the very thing one wishes to experience. Along sortof related lines, I think you'd find this interesting: th-cam.com/video/SI6wDO2RhTQ/w-d-xo.html Also, again Lindybeige, a video which hints at the kind of thing involved in implementing the above ideas: th-cam.com/video/sCL9NB8VQjs/w-d-xo.html Anyway, fingers crossed some day your idea can come to fruition somehow, maybe if Musk suddenly goes nuts for all things medieval instead of faffing around with Mars. :}
Incredible Stephanie!! Curtis is amazing and wow what an adventure he brought you on! Seeing Mummy, and Percy enjoy is so great. My heart goes out to you for creating such memories. Love your All💕
Wow, how amazing. What a privilege to be allowed to see all the sights that are not open to the general public. How lucky are we your TH-cam followers ❤❤. Many thanks to Curtis for sharing his knowledge with us all. So, beautiful, such history 💕💕💕 xx
What a wonderful treat to share bits of your trip with us! Egypt is amazing. I was there in 2004 with a group of 10, but we didn’t see what you’ve experienced, so it was extra special that you shared it with us Stephanie. Thank you much. Your mummy was amazingly fearless getting up on those camels. Both she and Percy looked great.
I watched Vivian's videos of the vacation in Egypt. I'm anxious to see Stephanie's perspective now. Stephanie, please thank Curtis for me for guiding us all in such a wonderfully personal tour of Ancient Egypt. I anxiously await the next installment on your European Grand Tour channel. Thank you and your companions for letting us come with. 💕💖💕love from Texas💕💖💕
Yes Ray, I agree 💯 percent. I’m happy you thought to thank Curtis. They’re so lucky to have an Egyptian Scholar to lead their tour. Egypt has always been my dream to visit someday, but this is the next best thing. Your comment is so sweet and thoughtful and I second the motion, Thank You Curtis!
,Ive so enjoyed following along. Curtis really is a great guide, knowing each persons name and making them all feel like theyre the most important person on the tour.
Thank you for taking us along for this one! It was a delight. Curtis is brilliant, Mummy and Percy are just so inspiring to watch. Watching Isabel enjoy life and dance with everyone made me so happy. You are very blessed Stephanie to have your mother be with you for such amazing adventures 💖. A beautiful excursion with a wonderful group of people.
Wow Stephanie. Going into that tomb with Curtis was amazing. The views from the outside were spectacular. Thank you so much for sharing your holiday with us 😀
Hola from Honduras! So fun virtually travelling with you on your really big adventure. I laughed out loud when you got busted by Mummy for borrowing her amber necklaces! 😄
Thank you for the vacation of a life time tour. I can't travel, so I love the history and the lighter dinners and time off to get the real sense of the place. Traveling on the Nile. Epic.
Amazing beautiful such spectacular sights. Thank you so much. I have a six year old daughter and we are going to watch this a few times. Your vlog felt like we were there.
Oooooh, I wish I could do this one too. So good to watch especially Stephanie and Curtis going down into the depths of the tomb. Scary stuff. My mother was born in Eygpt and had some good stories to tell. I was given a scarab from the grandmother and have worn it in many ways including today.
Speechless like Sara said!!! Ok Curtis where do I sign up for your next tour??? being at the one temple with no other tourists there is priceless, the boat cruise etc. I thought the tour with Gerry as Covid arrived was fabulous but I think this might be better! Amazing However! you scared me to death going down into that shaft with the bats! I jumped about 4x!!! no way for me on that one
What an exclusive tour! This was more than a cut above, and I'm sure Curtis played more than the part of exellent Egyptologist guide to sew this together! I'll definately be looking at the Grand Tour channel for more of the sights (though that's not usually my thing) as it's clear what you get to really see is beyond the regular beaten track. Isabelle's way with camels was an unexpexted treat! I loved how the only time you Stephanie exclaim you need an animal (at Lalande? ) Philip said "I'm good." 😂😂😂 Marvelous, thank you, very well done video!
This resurrected my youthful passion for Egypt. I still have endless books on Egypt, and I did artwork based on Egyptian themes, long ago. Tonight I felt a sense of the desert adjoining the Nile, and the warm tones of the temples, it all felt so close, somehow. Time to delve back into my books, and reconnect with my past, and that of Egypt. Watching Isabel makes me think I'm not too old to get there yet, fulfilling an ancient dream. Looking forward to more on your other channel, thanks so much!
My goodness I kept expecting Hercule Poirot to join in the fun…looked unbelievable. What a great adventure, once again, thank you for sharing your adventures 💕🇦🇺💐
I have been anxiously waiting for your video all week! Thanks to Chateau Love I have been getting some sneak peaks, but I really wanted to see your video. Thanks 😊!
Curtis did an awesome job on arranging this tour in Egypt. I enjoyed seeing your camaraderie and joy during this amazing adventure. Thank you so much for sharing this with us🙏🏻❤️🇪🇬
Curtis is just amazing! I could listen to him talk about the history of Egypt all day long. I would have loved this incredible trip. Thank you so much for sharing ❤
Egypt is not on my bucket list but this video has changed my mind. This is the side of Egypt that I would love to see. The view is much better than the Nile cruise that Stephanie took with Jerry. Curtis is the perfect guide. Love his new hair.
What a wonderful adventure you all have had. I am a bit envious of it, but very grateful you took us along. Thank you so much. I cannot tell you the joy that you have given many of us.
I've been wanting to visit Egypt for decades now. I hope to go with my husband one day!... Percy's Princess Diana moment with the see-through garment was hilarious!
thanks to Curtis, I am online looking for Egyptian jewelry for my daughter who has a birthday coming up and Christmas! What a fabulous adventure you guys got to go on! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for taking me to a place I would not be able to see, especially following those bats! Your positive outlook and adventures have meant so much these past 2 years. Blessings
Can’t wait for Stephanie’s interpretation of the Egyptian holiday! Have loved Vivienne’s ‘Chateau Love’ videos and with the Lalande perspective added to the mix we will have had a perfect armchair tour of Egypt with much loved friends too.👏💖
That was so cool. Curtis is the best guide anyone could ask for. That boat - wow, I cannot imagine how epic it was to experience it in person. Thanks for sharing - can’t wait to see the videos on your other channel!
😁What a joy! Exceptional peek at some of the exquisite wonders of Egypt 🇪🇬 . Enjoyed your entire travel group's sartorial splendor. Everyone looked glorious throughout your stay〰️esp. on your last 🎉celebratory 🎉 throwback evening with your Nile Island cocktails. ✍️Agatha Christie 📚 vintage inspired dress deserves to be donned on the ⛴️river in her honor. L🤍ve a parasol☂️ in a sunny climate☀️. No 👒 hat head, and it provides much wider coverage. No use in 🥵roasting out in the open if you can avoid it. Thrilled they're slowly becoming more & more popular in & around LA. Wish we had👃smell-a-vision for his two custom scents. They sounded pretty spectacular. 😘Marvelous Mummy was in top form, so was your charming tour guide Curtis. Getting used to his handsome countenance without his gorgeous long locks✂️. ✈️Godspeed on your safe return. 💚Bridget from Cali☘️ (using my pal's YT acct)
I love Stephanie’s mom! She’s amazing &so beautiful! I would love to go on a trip like this someday.❤ I must admit that I laughed outloud when I saw Phillip holding his parasol &while fanning himself! He’s adorable😂
Loved! Thanks for sharing this mystical trip to Egypt with your guide and friend Curtis. A lot of amazing video shots. There are several suitable for framing! Looking forward to the vlog on your new channel.
I don’t understand those narrow passageways in which you explored that tomb. Obviously there must, at one time, have been passageways large enough to accommodate a sarcophagus and people carrying canopic jars and other funereal ephemera in the tomb.
I remember seeing the temple moved up so as not to be flooded. That’s how ancient I am. 😂. Thoroughly enjoyed this and envious as Egyptian things drew me in very very young as did all of architectural wonders
What a treat that was!!!! Curtis, it's obvious you are a specialist in the history of Egypt! Everyone looked so happy....lovely, lovely group of friends.
What a gem of a holiday! It was extra special being a private experience with your amazing friends, sharing in each other’s joy in exploring some of Egypt’s treasures. Thank you for sharing this, especially with Curtis who is a treasure himself and willing to lead this tour!
Agree 💯 I was so happy to join them in their virtual tour that I had tears of JOY ❣️🥲🥲🥲 I wouldn't feel this way with other tour videos. What makes it special is Stephanie's bubbly personality & the sense of wonder that she exudes from her heart. I call it ~♡ THE STEPHANIE SIZZLING SPARKLE ❤️🔥💫✨️🌟⚡️💖
Apart from the video, that is great again (as always), I wish to express my hughe admiration for Isabelle & Percy. On the boat, off the boat, on a camel, off the camel, travelling, flights, busses, a pickup truck and the heat, dancing and a lot of walking and all of this with a big smile and witty remarks: Chapeau from The Netherlands xxx
I watched from behind a pillow as you chose to go deeper and deeper into the tombs !!! It’s my absolute nightmare and all the time bats flying at speed!!!! You have style Stephanie - it truly looked like the opening to another world as path ended with a hole in the floor I doubt many other visitors explored as you did What a brilliant way to live a life - you and your Mum are inspirational- your love of life is contagious I’m not rich at all , I’m rather poor but the doesn’t stop me appreciating beauty China plates and wonderful glass speaks in any language-beautiful is just beautiful 😊❤ I’ve just watched a video on the China you are selling and now I’m on a trip to Egypt Fabulous 😊
So glad Isabelle and Percy joined you. I hope that I am as fit and full of life when I am their age (and that my own daughter lives a life as rich as yours).❤
🍁 I so enjoyed this video❣️The scenery and just everything actually, beautiful. I was envying everyone on this trip, wish i could have gone. Curtis is the best travel guide, his heart is in it all which shows when he is talking of Egypt.

Heh, it's a Schrodinger tourist attraction: the act of visiting such a place would, unless by limitation of modern norms, ruin the very thing one wishes to experience.
Along sortof related lines, I think you'd find this interesting:

Also, again Lindybeige, a video which hints at the kind of thing involved in implementing the above ideas:

Anyway, fingers crossed some day your idea can come to fruition somehow, maybe if Musk suddenly goes nuts for all things medieval instead of faffing around with Mars. :}
Your mother is an absolute treasure.
And not exactly a hidden one ;-))
Incredible Stephanie!! Curtis is amazing and wow what an adventure he brought you on! Seeing Mummy, and Percy enjoy is so great. My heart goes out to you for creating such memories. Love your All💕
Wow, how amazing. What a privilege to be allowed to see all the sights that are not open to the general public. How lucky are we your TH-cam followers ❤❤. Many thanks to Curtis for sharing his knowledge with us all. So, beautiful, such history 💕💕💕 xx
“And we will never see them again” had me laughing out loud! What a beautiful amazing trip!
Yes, that was hilarious. 😅😂🤣
Thank you Curtis for the most extraordinary trip! Vivian and Stephanie have done a excellent job of bringing it to all of us. So grateful.
Thank you so much for sharing your holiday with us 😀
Stephanie and Curtis obviously do not have any issues with small spaces. That is very impressive. I wouldn’t have gone past the entrance!!
Hola from Honduras! So fun virtually travelling with you on your really big adventure. I laughed out loud when you got busted by Mummy for borrowing her amber necklaces! 😄
Loving Curtis haircut 😊
Isabelle and Percy are out doing all the LaLande WhipperSnappers😂
Thank you for the vacation of a life time tour. I can't travel, so I love the history and the lighter dinners and time off to get the real sense of the place. Traveling on the Nile. Epic.
Curtis looks so handsome with his short hair!!!
Stephanie, Mummy, and Percy i must say : Quelle élégance !
I loved how the only time you Stephanie exclaim you need an animal (at Lalande? ) Philip said "I'm good." 😂😂😂
Marvelous, thank you, very well done video!
Love Curtis’s hair short like that-this s an amazing Vlog - can you imagine how life was back then??
Curtis‘ enthusiasm for Egyptian history is truly infectious!!!!💖💖
I have been anxiously waiting for your video all week! Thanks to Chateau Love I have been getting some sneak peaks, but I really wanted to see your video. Thanks 😊!
This tour is on my wish list. Thank you for the preview. You're all looking amazing!
Hahaha!! Stephanie: "We must get camels!" Phillip: "I'm Good"
Curtis did an awesome job on arranging this tour in Egypt.
So nice seeing everyone so happy! I had a lot of fun with you all
Egypt is not on my bucket list but this video has changed my mind. This is the side of Egypt that I would love to see. The view is much better than the Nile cruise that Stephanie took with Jerry. Curtis is the perfect guide. Love his new hair.
I have to say, "Mommie" is in her element there!! Absolutely vibrant!!!
I remember as a child in elementary school in the US we contributed our dimes to the saving of the Temple of Abu Simble. This was done through the UN
I remember!
That was wonderful. Curtis what a lovely artinarry! It was like something straight out of an Agatha Christie novel!
Minus the murder thankfully 😊
The thing I love about you is your positivity Stephanie! Nothing phases you, and your willing to try anything. Thats why I watch your videos....
What an amazing trip.Thank You for taking us along.
thanks to Curtis, I am online looking for Egyptian jewelry for my daughter who has a birthday coming up and Christmas! What a fabulous adventure you guys got to go on! Thanks for sharing!
Every time i say best video you go top it. You just make it like we were there. Awesome.
Thank you for taking me to a place I would not be able to see, especially following those bats! Your positive outlook and adventures have meant so much these past 2 years. Blessings
Can’t wait for Stephanie’s interpretation of the Egyptian holiday! Have loved Vivienne’s ‘Chateau Love’ videos and with the Lalande perspective added to the mix we will have had a perfect armchair tour of Egypt with much loved friends too.👏💖
Wow, what an amazing trip. I loved the boat, and Mummy is so funny trying to preserve Percy's modesty! 😂
👍😊
🤣🤣🤣🤣
This gives new meaning to "living life vicariously"! Thank you so much for this breathtaking tour - something I could only dream of!
I love Percy
Thankyou so much, what a fabulous tour, Curtis is so knowledgeable.
Curtis is the best guide/organizer!
They were quite a few monuments that had to be moved due to the dam
WoW !! how enjoyable was this vlog !!! Such a lovely bunch of people you all are and in a most magical monumental location !!!!! THANK YOU
Such an amazing experience wow.
That was so cool. Curtis is the best guide anyone could ask for. That boat - wow, I cannot imagine how epic it was to experience it in person. Thanks for sharing - can’t wait to see the videos on your other channel!
what a historic adventure a trip of a lifetime ,curtis is knowledgable oh and he suits his hair cut
Wonderful vacation.
your hair Curtis! handsome as ever xoxo
what a lovely way to see the country, and to vacation. I really enjoy boats myself. ZenHugs!

I love Stephanie’s mom! She’s amazing &so beautiful! I would love to go on a trip like this someday.❤
I must admit that I laughed outloud when I saw Phillip holding his parasol &while fanning himself! He’s adorable😂
Loved! Thanks for sharing this mystical trip to Egypt with your guide and friend Curtis. A lot of amazing video shots. There are several suitable for framing! Looking forward to the vlog on your new channel.
Amazing, Curtis so knowledgeable about The Egyptian ruins
You and your mom are the adventurous ones. 👍👏👏👏
What a gem of a holiday! It was extra special being a private experience with your amazing friends, sharing in each other’s joy in exploring some of Egypt’s treasures. Thank you for sharing this, especially with Curtis who is a treasure himself and willing to lead this tour!
Never have I seen such beautiful views of Egypt as Stephanie has shown us.
Your egyptian journey was an absolutely wonderful one. I will be watching it once more soosn. 🥰
Mummy and Percy are so funny x what a great vlog x
😂 I love that out of nowhere there was this bar with a Brazilian flag 🇧🇷
What a wonderful journey 😍 What a wonderful life 🙌❤️🤩 Thank you Stephanie, for bringing us along 😊
Agree 💯 I was so happy to join them in their virtual tour that I had tears of JOY ❣️🥲🥲🥲
I wouldn't feel this way with other tour videos. What makes it special is Stephanie's bubbly personality & the sense of wonder that she exudes from her heart.
I call it ~♡
THE STEPHANIE SIZZLING SPARKLE
❤️🔥💫✨️🌟⚡️💖
"Did the necklaces give permission?" was the best line of all! Thx y'all for a video to take me to a place I'll never personally get to see.
You have style Stephanie - it truly looked like the opening to another world as path ended with a hole in the floor
I doubt many other visitors explored as you did
What a brilliant way to live a life - you and your Mum are inspirational- your love of life is contagious
I’m not rich at all , I’m rather poor but the doesn’t stop me appreciating beauty
China plates and wonderful glass speaks in any language-beautiful is just beautiful 😊❤
I’ve just watched a video on the China you are selling and now I’m on a trip to Egypt
Fabulous 😊
So glad Isabelle and Percy joined you. I hope that I am as fit and full of life when I am their age (and that my own daughter lives a life as rich as yours).❤
If I have half the energy and looked as good as Isabelle at her age I would count myself as very lucky.
Looks gorgeous but the best moment was Percie with the see through dress on 😂 what a gem 😂😂
Loved every minute! Thank you for sharing sights I'm not likely to see in person. It has been delightful!
🍁 I so enjoyed this video❣️The scenery and just everything actually, beautiful. I was envying everyone on this trip, wish i could have gone. Curtis is the best travel guide, his heart is in it all which shows when he is talking of Egypt.
What an adventure and your guide Curtis is gorgeous. Those eyes!
