    Entry 1:
    A bereaved parent
I talk about the loss of my mom and son. I know this can be an awkward subject for people but there are many parents I’ve met who’ve had a child pass away. I hope my video can help any of them. This is my point of view going through this tragic loss. I also talk a bit about why I started this channel and about how I got into coin collecting.
There are many groups out there to help families who have lost a child. One that has helped me is The Compassionate Friends.
    www.compassionatefriends.org
They also have local chapters where you can meet monthly and talk in a group or just listen. Sometimes it helps knowing that you're not alone. It's confidential and not to be repeated outside the group.
You can be added in the private Facebook group and let things out you normally wouldn’t.
There are too MANY parents that understand.

The kitties love attention. I'm beginning to think they want to be youtube stars as much as they go on camera lol. Thank you PoppieStuff for watching this video. I won't make many vlogs but sometimes need to let things out.

Hi April. You and I have a lot in common. I am a bereaved mom too. I lost my adult son Oct. 2012 just 6 weeks after h turned 18. He lived at home with me and passed away at home in his sleep. Like you, I found my son and tried to save him. In less than 12 hours, it will be exactly 69 months and I miss him more and more everyday. He was, is and always will b my best friend and life has no meaning without him. Sending lots of love from the heart of one angel mom to the next

Thank you for sharing your story, April. I'm glad that searching coins and TH-cam are among your coping mechanisms. If not for your interest in both, I would never have had the pleasure of "meeting" you. I am so lucky that our paths have crossed. I hope you'll have more good days than bad and that on one of those sleepless nights when you're searching coins....you'll find a wide AM 1999 penny darn it!!! 😉 All the best to you

You're welcome. Yes, coin hunting has helped me keep my sanity for sure. I thought maybe sharing a bit of my journey might help someone else in a similar situation. I've always believe a person never knows whos life they might be helping with a simple smile or conversation. I'll be looking for that 1999 WAM but recently found a 2000 WAM :) Thank you so much for always supporting me and this channel

I do not want just say I am sorry and such, but I will tell you thank you. Thank you for being stronger than you know and using your life to help inspire and soothe others that may be dealing with like situations. Whether you do more of these or not is not important, but your communication with those around you is the most important. As a community member I support you and wish you the best. Know that our prayers are with you and you are always welcome no matter what you are going through. Thanks for sharing.

My heart pours out to you. Im not one of those to run away. I lost my baby brother to gleoblastoma. He was 33. Shortly afterwards my mother grieved her self to Death. A year later my Father pasted from lung Cancer. 5 months after my father died my Granddaughter was murdered at 2 yrs old. My life will never be the same. The struggle is real. You have m.y deepest respect an sympathy. Hold your head up somehow. Thank you for this video an telling your story. I can relate to loss. Everyones pain is different but real. Support is important. I have had none but am still stumbling thru. I too am into coins to stay occupied. Thank you again April.

Laura Day I'm saddened to hear about this. Glioblastoma is a true monster along with any other cancer. My grandmother also passed away from cancer along with several aunts. I could really understand grief getting the best of somebody. Sometimes I think it has the best of me as I've gotten health issues since my son's passing. I'm so sorry you haven't received any support. You ever want to chat, I'm on TH-cam. I'm going to try to make it where people can message me in there once I figure that out. Soft hugs to you and thank you very much.

Thank you for sharing this. I must admit it was hard to watch and I had to stop a couple of times. I'm glad you have some support groups to turn to. Cherish all those good memories you have. I'm not going to tell you the pain will go away, because there will always be an empty place in your heart. Please know that my prayers are with you and your husband and daughter.

Z SQUARED you're welcome. I have been debating putting video diary out for quite a few months and finally took the plunge. After something tragic happens, you hear so many other people with similar stories. There are a lot of people out there that don't get support and I thought maybe sharing my story could help them in some way. Also it's good for me just to let some things out. Grief is kind of like a pressure cooker, you got to let that steam out somehow or else it can explode. Thank you for being touched, caring and compassionate.

I just subbed when watching your first video and found you through ITSMEBRIAN's video. I am glad you are able to share your feelings because loosing a child is something that does cause friends & family to stay away because they just do not know how to deal with it. Letting friends & family know how you want them to deal with it through a video instead of face to face I think helps you and them a lot. My family has lost several 19 year olds but none were my own kids so I have no clue as to the pain you and your husband and daughter are feeling but please know your in my thoughts and prayers. Thanks for sharing his picture and your family pictures with us. Your son was a good looking young man and I was glad to hear he was living at home and that you were friends as not everyone can say they are friends with their children. I hope you can keep sharing your feelings about him here on TH-cam as there are some wonderful people here and I am sure many that have lost their young but adult children. I hope you and your family find the strength you need to live your lives to the fullest as you know that is what your son would want for you. This is how my family has been able to live and grow past the lost of our young family members always thinking what they would want for us. I am a chronic pain sufferer and 90% bed ridden since 1997 and I only sleep two to three hours about 3 nights a week and the rest of the days I dont sleep at all because of the pain and discomfort. I have clicked the bell on your channel so I will be notified when a video goes up or if you go live. If you ever just need an ear or opinion or just someone to talk coins or what ever with at any time night or day I am here for you. Please just go live with a video and I should see it as I watch closely for my subs to put up new videos or go live and TH-cam is always running on my computer. Good Luck April and thanks for sharing with us!

richcali21 first off hugs to you. I'm so saddened to hear of all the tragedy in your family and the chronic back pain. I could only imagine what it must be like. Thank you so much for sharing everything with me. I know it must be hard. Also thank you for offering a lending ear. I might take that off for up sometime.

richcali21 I don't know about going live LOL sometimes I just can't handle being around people right now. I do go on other peoples livestreams often and say hello but that's about as far as I get. I know in the future I will get more social. Thank you :)

I did not mean for you to step outside your comfort zone and did not know your past experience with TH-cam. I just wanted to offer that to you since I am awake through most nights. Please just do what your comfortable with. I have quite a few coin videos and you would have to watch more than 40 of my videos to see the whole 1,500 pound coin collection so please remember them on your sleepless nights.

richcali21 no worries. I didn't take it that way. I just thought lifestreams might be scary. I will definitely check out your Channel. I know watching these videos help me at night to clear my mind so I can sleep or intrigued me to get up and look and see what I have in my collection haha.
