- The Get Home Bag for emergencies! My Get Home Bag setup is simple, but has changed. My old Get Home Bag was smaller as I worked near where I lived, now my Get Home Bag is bigger as it is 4x further than it used to be. The best Get Home Bag is the one that fits your needs. My Get Home Bag needs are different in the winter, than the summer, etc.

Great English there buddy the get home bag for emergencies. What the hell??.?.?. You get home bags? What are you a bum and live on the streets? Isn’t it called something else? The best get home bag is the one that fits your needs. Well yours must be a purse. Lol the best handbag is the one that fits your needs. No shit Sherlock.
Great content. A lot of folks miss loading binoculars. I’m a firm believer in having a medium-sized pair just in case. You nailed it…!
Good call!
Nature valley granola bars are cheap and do well in both cold/heat. Also don't contain wheat fillers like most food so easy to digest. More for comfort. I keep a few in my center console and rotate through them often.
Very true!
Man, great set up!
Glad you think so!
Years ago i told u about my 25 mile trek to test me and my GHB. Ive got 35 to get home and i know the heavier the bag the more the walk SUCKS!
Haha, indeed! I backpack with 45'ish, so doing it is not a huge reach for me. But I would agree, you can definitely speed things up with less weight. Which is situationally dependent. I look at all these videos as ideas, and starting points. But if a situation comes up, only then will you know what you need. Cannot prepare for everything and more times than not, your brain is the most important tool.
I Love the straight forward break down and how you lead with the water set up……..but we all knew you would leave the sleeping bag reveal to the end ;)
Just giving ideas, yup. That sleeping bag and the other one basically get swapped fall and spring. That is it. That is their life. lol.
Very nice
waiting for this video
All makes sense since you have 40 miles to go.
Yea, it is really just having options. No right or wrong, I would rather have things and not need them, than need them and not have them. Can always dump weight, but cannot magically make things when you need them.
I just loaded 3 peddle bikes in my truck for the 8th someone from my work is going to have to ride double there are 4 of us headed the same direction.
Capn Berz, will you be posting any videos soon?? Your F.O. in SFO. Cheers, Mate.
Maybe....Maybe. Haha.
@@CaptainBerz He's alive! He's alive!
Good to see ya post again, ill have to go back in your channel as id been unsubbed. How much of your bag would be transfered to on body when/if you had to walk home?
The bag is going on my body and i'd walk home. Just like a backpacking trip.
My ghb consists of whatever my edc is that day and a bottle of water. Im walking not camping. I dont need smoke grenades to walk home lol. I know how to walk so i dont really need any medical. Been walking for 40 years. I guess i may have tripped a couple times and skinned my knee. I know im joking but these are more bugout than get home. My idea with ghb is speed. If its that bad out where i cant call someone, cant text someone, cant find a ride etc im getting home as fast as possible. Not stopping to make a fire or build a shelter for one night. Getting to my family as fast as possible which means jogging at least part of the way. People shoukd focus more on health and fitness than gear. Just my opinion
Do you have a link for that Nemo bivvy tent, by any chance? Thanks!
No, it is discontinued.
Was wondering Is that satellite system expensive?
$200, then $20/mo to use a satellite system. Pretty affordable, similarly priced to an internet hotspot. Helpful when I backpack or hunt in areas with no coverage. Many uses. And it has an SOS button.
The usual stuff
Usually.
I might’ve missed it, but what brand is that pack? Thanks!
Hill People Gear Ute
Any chance you could put a link for that Nemo shelter you showed.
I do not believe they sell it anymore. It is called the Nemo Spike.
@@CaptainBerz alright thanks for the info.
what do you do for a living?
Shower curtain ring salesman.
There isn't a Burger King closer to home?
Unfortunately not. Basically I break even at the end of the day. So going to work is really a wash.
which Hill people pack is that?
Ute. But I have some modifications to it.
What smokes are those?
Enola Gaye
