Well it's probably unclear when they will finish but if they set up a release date that means they would have to work when harder to get the port done on the release date or else people would call them a liar or lazy. It's better to be as patient as possible and let the creator make the port in peace. Also this port could take as little as a month to finish to as long as a year.
