Pgl “getting stuck” at one bullet is because on reload completion you shoot, if you have a clip of 2 then basically your firerate count starts immediately upon firing, so you always have a full cycle between each reload, while still gateing behind firerate.
I feel like triple split overclock is much more of a priority to get than explosion radius since you can always get explosion radius with normal level ups. So whenever I have that option, I always get triple split. I’m too bad luck to gamble getting it on the 12th level like you are lol.
I finally completed my last biome goal, demolitionist to 60, by focusing on this weapon. Didn't make it to stage 4 drop pod because of pickled nitra greed, but still made it to 60. PGL is a very decent weapon actually, even against vomit boys, when fully upgraded. I used to focus on other grenades and failed numerous times, but PGL is the best damage dealer, other granades are better as support.
@@fepethepenguin8287 I think it fires fast if there are enemies close enough to target both times. But that is still 2 seconds between shots, in this game that's a long time. Edit: that's 0.5/second fire rate, so 2 seconds, not 0.5 between shots, that would be reload speed.
@@AyazHB I tried that exact setup dozens of times, but it was always difficult to get started, first 3 stages were a nightmare. This time, focused on PGL from the start, got cryo and acid to 6 later, and plasma burster to about 12 for some additional AOE damage.
Made me a bit mad, that you didn't take medium kinetic weapon as third weapon. And for the weird pause between shot 1 and 2, but fast succession of shot 2 and 1, its because reload speed is faster than fire rate, and reload resets the fire rate timer.
Seems like the grenade launcher is bugging up the ammo display. It doesn't seem like the firerate is off - it just seems to be the display. I would guess the issue is that the weapon fires too quickly after reload. Resulting in a race condition where the first shot is fired before the Clip Display is set to "full". You can see the counter ocassionally working - if you fully reload without any enemies nearby to shoot.
It's not bugged at all, the reason why it is at 1/2 ammo all the time is because of the low fire rate. There is a cooldown between shots (fire rate) for every bullet in the magazine which is reset upon reloading, hence why the last shot of the previous magazine and the first one of the new is only separated by the reload speed. If the reload speed is insane then those shots follow each other almost immediately, the bottleneck here is solely the fire rate Edit: take a look at the stats at 14:28; there is a cooldown of 2 seconds between shots (1/0.5 firerate), whilst the reload speed is only 0.78 seconds
Everything is strong with these artifacts 😮 Fun game though. I've always mostly avoided leveling the PGL. If there is one complaint i have for this game it is the relative power of damage artifacts vs. the others.
Wouldn't cluster bomb have been better here? I know you said you wanted both, but even without playing this game I got the feeling it wasn't going to show up again (and I was right lol)
You were lucky at 9:11, you could've been griefed by the game putting a black crack across that single tile width path under the rock and you would've been trapped. Thankfully no griefing occurred 😅

ammo rig+gas overclock is extremely strong on deepcore because it fixes the reason why the weapon struggles. Fire-rate. Once you get 75% fire-rate, it is beast weapon. If he had triple split, he would done like... 20k damage per shot.
There's a glitch you can do where if you go down the ramp just as it gets to zero the timer starts going up and you can stay on a stage forever with infinite waves of bugs coming after you.
@@haineko1101 he used it once on stream when it triggered accidentally, got to some ridiculous level, over 70 on stage 3 I think, and still lost. 😂 Iirc, it was with interrogator driller before the latest update.

Does ur PGL take as long to fire the 2nd shot? The Info says 0.5 second fire rate. But it seems way longer for Cub
I did it today the other way around. Kept the PGL at 6 and leveled cryo, toxic and plasma grenades

Pgl with akimbo means no matter what your covered, plus getting feedback harness on anything else means if they touch you the map gets deleted haha.

It's well-known, yes. Cub doesn't use it because it makes things too easy.
