We do have a video call “Ultimate CD Ripping Guide” you might want to check out. Thank you for the comment and for watching. I hope you consider subscribing to our channel. Let me know if it helps you.
The library you created was Our Music, but after importing from your Y-drive, you clicked on the "Music" library, not "Our Music," which was listed directly under "Music." So what we see is something you had previously created.
I don’t believe so. I just logged into Plex and selected library, and it appears it only allows you to sort by artist, album, tracks or folders. It might be possible to create folder by music type within you main file folder, and then you could select that folder to play. Thanks for watching and please consider subscribing.
@@NeedyCatMedia Thank you for the response. I will check it out. I have enough CD's to fill a record store. I did get them ripped, thou. These music services doesn't cut it for me either. Sorry for the on and on. Thanks man!
I'm new to Plex, just bought a Lifetime Pass. I have been uploading music folders. I have them divided into Folders and subfolders. For Example, my Apple Essesentials collection is all contained within one folder. the albums are stored in subfolders. When I upload, most but not all of the subfolders upload. When I try again and try to upload subfolders individually I noticed th tracks in the folders of the ones which have uploaded are highlighted. The tracks in the subfolders which wont upload are faded. They are organised exactly the same so why are some subfolders faded and wont upload, its driving me insane?
@Needy Cat Media Thanks but I have read it through from start to finish. There is nothing relating to my problem ordinary any other forum that I've read but thank you for taking the time to reply.
Hi, with Plex able to see most file types my best guess would be that your path to the folder holding your music is incorrect. I would double check that.
@NeedyCatMedia No I would put the album on and it would show it then a couple of days later it would be gone. The folder would still have the music but plex won't read it again.
Hi, sorry to hear you are having this issue. Normally as long as you are using a normal file type and name Plex does not have an issue seeing it. For your music are you using a standing wav or mp3? This is from the Plex support page. Maybe this will help: /Music /Pink Floyd /The Wall 101 - In the Flesh.mp3 102 - The Thin Ice.mp3 201 - Hey You.mp3 202 - Is There Anybody Out There.mp3 /Wish You Were Here 01 - Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts I-V).m4a 02 - Welcome to the Machine.mp3 03 - Have a Cigar.mp3 /Foo Fighters /One By One /There is Nothing Left to Lose /U2 /Joshua Tree
That is good, how about the name? I know sometimes Plex will skip files based on mismatch titles. Sorry, if I am not helping, but according to the Plex support page this would the two main reasons.
Hi, the drive will depend on where your files are located. Mine our on the Y drive (which is our Media server). If your files are on the same machine, your files are could be on your C drive. Sorry, if the video was misleading.
@@NeedyCatMedia Request failed with satus code 422, when I try and 'Manage Libraries'. But that's not the main issue. The folder that I have my music in is, looked at it from ROOT/Media/Music/ then my files here in subfolders. I cannot even select the 'Music' folder here. I can only select 'Media', and that's it. Any thoughts?

Will this be good for a massive library where you can listen remotely on mobile or is there a better alternative than this?
Plex has an app called PlexAmp. We need to learn more, but it appears it always you to listen to your music library for free.
How do I add something to an existing library/folder? For example: track of an album already on Plex server.
It would be good if someone would make a video of how to make the files before they are ready to in to the Plex server.

Can you sort by genre?

Why is it every time in try to follow something like this what you show is nothing like what I see? I've not got a garage option
Hi, the garage name being mentioned is the name of our computer/file. You need to be looking for the name of yours.

QUESTION: How do I transfer my CD to my Plex Library??
Good morning, the process is pretty simple. Once you have ripped the CD to your PC just move or save the music files to the Plex folder you created.
Y can't I find the Why drive on mY computer?
