I have a small collection for £2s and 50ps, quite proud of the fact I had a NI Commonwealth for about a year, but thought it was the stanrds England until i brought out the macro photo setting on my phone!

Yes the Royal Mint does strike coins in advance with next year's date on - the main example of this was the Olympic 50p coins - I definitely had one in late 2010, despite the date on it being 2011
I was given a London Underground 2 pound coin the other day in my change and I noticed that it is misaligned on the back. The small dots are on the gold and the silver. Is this worth anything? PS, it is not the underground coin with the train on it, but the other underground coin.
