- In this episode of the LEGO Batman 2 guide, I show all of the characters you need to purchase in order to collect all of the Gold Bricks, Minikits, Red Bricks and Citizens in Peril in the game.
The characters you need to purchase are:
Lex Luthor (Yacht Club) (250,000 studs)
Poison Ivy (Botanic Gardens) (125,000 studs)
The Joker (Ace Chemicals) (250,000 studs)
The Penguin (Gotham Zoo) (500,000 studs)
Man-Bat (Gotham Cathedral) (500,000 studs)
The Riddler (Wayne Tower) (125,000 studs)
Aquaman (Gotham City Central) (70 Gold Bricks) (125,000 studs)

You can actually get Aquaman's abilities without having him by making a custom character on one of the slots that has an ice cannon by default; you can change it to a water canon.

You should've include Mr. Freeze for Free Play. (why?) Because on Chapters 3, 4 and 14, They use Robin's Ice Suit on Story mode. But On Free Play (the Chapters 3, 4 & 14) you can use Mr. Freeze. He shoots Ice at things.
Yeah, but that would involve having to spend more studs... and since you can get through every level without Mr. Freeze (because you have access to Robin's Ice Suit), it seemed unnecessary to purchase Mr. Freeze.
(This video is just meant to show the "absolutely necessary, can't get 100% without them" characters.)

Idk if you are going to respond to this, but I am confused, how do I save my progress if I just go in and fight a character and leave the game? I couldn’t figure out how
If you fight a character and leave the game without buying that character, then you have to re-fight them when you go back into the game.
The only way to save your progress when you fight a character is to actually purchase that character after the fight.

I just finished this game again, but on the map it doesn't show where the villains are, can you help?
The villains only appear when you activate the beacons around Gotham City. The beacons themselves are easy to find as they shine a red beam into the sky (which turns blue once you activate that beacon).
