I lament that we in the US don't have the same kind of dinghy culture that exists in Australia, England, Europe... Great video. I look forward to the next one.
It’s actually not that big. I was the only small open boat on a busy Saturday on the way home- it is all aluminium fishing boats and big yachts. We are definitely the minority.
Ha ha - nearly spat my Coke Zero across the lounge room with the “Tonight were doing…” 🤣 Great video. Well done. Loved all the B-roll. Highly recommend watching this on the TV. So much better than a phone.
Josh congratulations on being back on the water. What a beautiful boat ⛵ great sailing and just the right amount of commentary. Best part for me though was the piscatorial tip of the hat in the last scene. Fresh is always best. Let me tell you a story about smoked muscles over a beer 🍺
Geeepezzz what happened. New boat new you new video angle new best shots. Heck I loved the Deb potatoe intro and it's about time somebody did that. Excellent drone shots. One of the best shots was when you were dried out eating your food from the side. BUT! it was too short to take it all in. Sometimes the shots need to be slightly longer if it's a real doozer. Excellent take Josh i reckon you could have hit on a chord here with the enthusiasm. congratulations with Trim and Merry Christmas have a good one.
Looks like you had a enjoyable time Josh! The boat looks great and didn't seem much bothered by the swell. A 6 foot swell on Lake Superior would keep me off the water as the waves tend to be short and steep (and COLD) : ) Maybe a stupid question, but I see you and others don't completely seal your boom tents up. Do you have to deal with mosquitoes much? I've usually camp ashore in a proper tent as to keep from being eaten alive most of the summer : )
I have been fortunate in that mozzies haven’t been a problem during my adventures. That said I have had the odd trip where they are more prevalent- a bit of repellent before bed helps there. Interestingly, that Juno Point I pointed out, was where I camped with a school group a couple of weeks earlier. I got annihilated up there. Directly across the river in the bay, nothing.
Hi Josh, I know what you mean and a new boat, put some makes on then good to go. Like when I have new white runners I used to put then on the dirt so they don’t look new. And well come back.
They are a fabulous boat, not that quick but very comfortable in a range of conditions. Check out the Restoration Special linked in the description for the kind of work required! Thanks for watching.
Lovely to see you back Josh. Trim was cutting through that swell really nicely. Bet that was a great sail.
Thanks Dave - a long time coming. Hope you are staying warm up there in the north! Josh
@@DinghyCruisingTrim We're all trying to!!!
So nice to see you back again on the water, Josh. We missed you and Trim, and look forward to more videos soon. Thank you!

Cheers Mat and Jo, Good to be back out there too!
Thank you for the Trim trip through the swells. She handles all conditions very well. The wayward beach you anchored at is Nature Heaven.
Sure is - no one else wants to go there because it is so shallow.
Great Josh, looking forward to sailing together again, cheers Paul
Thanks Paul. Me too!
Thanks Josh, it was nice to see that part again it's been years . wonderful work on the boat paint its a treat, boat looks happy.😁👍

Hi what anchoring equipment do you use?
A 6 kg plough anchor for the bow, snd a 2kg Danforth anchor for the stern.
