Thank you so much! I found your tutorial on finger crocheting. I was in the process figuring what to do with the 3 different colors of single chains about 10 - 15 feet long. I practice finger crocheting with the single chains. The end result is an infinity scarf that is nearly 60 inches long. It was good practice for me. You don’t flip your work with this pattern. But if you did , then I recommend you write a note for yourself telling yourself what you need to do next or what you just did. Then attach it to the side that you want to start back on. Write or do anything that will help you know. Be your own best friend 💕🧶

Can I do a throw this way turning back up each turn .i have pulled out blanket about 5 times I/3 the way . I was reading into other directions too much leaving a loop on end ,they came out wonky .alos am trying to be loose first row ,but still row tighter. I’ll get it I think following you

I would try about about 1.5 inches and see how it looks and feels . The good news is, these work up fairly quickly so you can experiment to see what you like best. That’s how I did it with the bigger yarn and discovered quickly that the loops were too small and made it too stiff. Keep me posted , please! Have you seen my video on using baby blanket yarn? Hi Angela. Ok that just means that you are going to measure out your pattern in the multiple they gave you then add one more stitch at the very end. For example , let’s say to make the pattern the “multiple” is 10 stitches. You would take a measurement and maybe it will take you 40 stitches to reach that measurement (4 x 10 = 40) So you would cast on 40 stitches then 1 more stitch at the very end giving you 41 stitches total. That’s just an example. It will depend on the “multiple” that gave you for the pattern. Hope that made sense. If not check out a video called “math for knitters - casting on a multiple of X and Y”. I know 😑 it’s such a pain. It’s a common issue with “real” knitting too with the sides. I don’t know of a good solution for it yet. There are some videos out for traditional knitting regarding this issue and I intend to watch and see if there’s something we can utilize with our fingers. 💕🧶

Hi - I’m not clear why you are getting this issue with your color changes so I really don’t know what to suggest there other than maybe stitching it with a needle and thread. The curling is a common issue with “stockinette” stitch even with traditional knitting, unfortunately. You could try “blocking “ it with water and pins to see if it will help hold its shape. Another commenter mentioned that she found a video where someone suggested skipping the end loops every other row . I asked her to clarify but she never returned . You might be able to find what she was referring to. You could try remaking it by adding a couple of purl stitches to the ends of each row. This is called a garter stitch and just means the sides will have the bumpy stitches on the sides . This is an approach that many knitters use. Just made my first finger knit scarf. It’s def easy to do, but still took me a few try to get the right tightness in the beginning (so some loops aren’t obviously bigger/ looser than others) . My finished product keep rolling in from the two sides, is it normal? Or I did it too tight or loose ? I’ll try again for sure

OK so I finished my very first scarf no obviously mine does not look like yours and I also did it in black and we all know that working with black can be somewhat difficult… But to find a different way than using knitting needles absolutely throws me but I have the same issue it’s either too loose or it’s too tight and not consistent I always thought with knitting it would come in time because originally I was needing very tight loops and I did loosen up after a while and I’m hoping that this will be the same… But it’s homemade it comes from the heart and I think that means a lot… My question is is how many of those balls of yarn do you need to make a decent size blanket? Because I bought a bunch for last minute scarfs but I do want to make a blanket… there should be something under the tree for everybody that comes to the door and frankly my Amazon deliver deserves more than a scarf 🧣

@@PlayHookywithMe I did black because it’s for a priest from Nigeria who is in Arizona now and is finding the weather a little chilly… I know Arizona chilly it’s a little odd around the edges for me too but in the mornings I can be and at night and most definitely is within the valley and it’s Desert here … But you are absolutely right I did the four loops and it took me just about 30 minutes give me an extra 10 for putting a bow around it… I find your videos to be very clear And comprehensive and I surely do appreciate that I can’t crochet at all but I’m originally from New York and I would know all the time not very well but I did it anyway but now being out in Arizona I will always start knitting in June or July for December but doing it this way I can start it four days before Christmas lol… You have a very merry Christmas be safe and stay healthy and may the new year be prosperous✌️🤟🎉

I weave it into the side and then stitch it with a needle and thread to hold it in place.

Just made my first finger knit scarf. It’s def easy to do, but still took me a few try to get the right tightness in the beginning (so some loops aren’t obviously bigger/ looser than others) . My finished product keep rolling in from the two sides, is it normal? Or I did it too tight or loose ?

When doing the two tone what do I do with the tail of the second colour?
Weave it in so it’s hidden in that new color. You can stitch it in as well with a needle and thread for added assurance .

OK so I finished my very first scarf no obviously mine does not look like yours and I also did it in black and we all know that working with black can be somewhat difficult… But to find a different way than using knitting needles absolutely throws me but I have the same issue it’s either too loose or it’s too tight and not consistent I always thought with knitting it would come in time because originally I was needing very tight loops and I did loosen up after a while and I’m hoping that this will be the same… But it’s homemade it comes from the heart and I think that means a lot… My question is is how many of those balls of yarn do you need to make a decent size blanket? Because I bought a bunch for last minute scarfs but I do want to make a blanket… there should be something under the tree for everybody that comes to the door and frankly my Amazon deliver deserves more than a scarf 🧣

@@PlayHookywithMe I did black because it’s for a priest from Nigeria who is in Arizona now and is finding the weather a little chilly… I know Arizona chilly it’s a little odd around the edges for me too but in the mornings I can be and at night and most definitely is within the valley and it’s Desert here … But you are absolutely right I did the four loops and it took me just about 30 minutes give me an extra 10 for putting a bow around it… I find your videos to be very clear And comprehensive and I surely do appreciate that I can’t crochet at all but I’m originally from New York and I would know all the time not very well but I did it anyway but now being out in Arizona I will always start knitting in June or July for December but doing it this way I can start it four days before Christmas lol… You have a very merry Christmas be safe and stay healthy and may the new year be prosperous✌️🤟🎉
