      @@dcee6670 Not true at all. I was severely disadvantaged and have a successful life. I'm not famous or "uber talented." But I am no longer disadvantaged because of those experiences. • @mazzdaz
      @mazzdaz 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @14720509 That's not a lie. When you think of the word ruthless you only associate it with callousness or lack of empathy. You have to be ruthless in work ethic and discipline. Make sacrifices and deny yourself of things that will not help you attain your goal. The person is right. Often times disadvantaged people feel they are too far down to ever get out of the situation they are in. You have to have a ruthless mindset that says, "I'm getting out of this situation no matter what, whatever I have to do(within the realm of legality) that's what I'm going to do." Sadly most people don't have that mindset or want to take the necessary, and hard steps to better themselves.

    Mike Tyson has always been a champ to me. When I was just a little girl in Brooklyn, he came to visit a childhood friend of his who was friends with my mother. I was only 6 years old yet I remember clearly how big and strong but extremely gentle of a man he was. He picked me up and let me sit on his motorcycle and called me a princess. Every time I hear people say bad things about him, I realize how misunderstood he is/was. Children can sense “good” people from “bad” people, and I always felt he had a wonderful heart despite tough moments in his life. I’m proud to say he’s a hometown hero!

    Ever heard the story of the "Chained Elephant"? Adult Circus Elephants were once chained to the ground with a chain only big enough to retrain them at their youth size. When the elephants grow up, they are strong enough to easily break their own chain, but the creature does not know it. It is trained to believe their chain is too strong to break. I am starting to see that I am like a cichlid in a giant aquarium and that our reality is not at all what we think it is. Thank you Tyson for your lovely story.

Tyson is the perfect example of being so mentally strong and so willing to work hard for your dream that his tough childhood was not going to hold him back. Youngsters these days should all look at what and who Tyson built himself to be he wasn't a weak victim like a lot of these kids are today that are too lazy to work hard and achieve success. Tyson didn't whine about his life he made the choice to change it and become the champion of the world. What an amazing person

    Mike as we get older we realize where we were as a young man and the mistakes we made and now we guide other young men. I'm retired from the military and I joined at 17 right out of high school not a clue what to do or where to go but I knew where I was and that was not a good place. My mom raised 4 alone and we all made an impact on our lives I'm not rich or famous I'm the man that was not in my life and that is better than him and of course that's all I wanted to be. I hope the very best for you and may god watch over you in your life. Young men today are losing their way and we need to guide them or we will all fail.

    "Sometimes I get in my head and think I'm somebody, then I'm easily offended...but then I remind myself I'm nobody and I'm not." Doesn't mean you need to see yourself as worthless or inferior, it's simply a mindset/ego hack for remaining humble in the grand scheme of things. Remembering how small we are in relation to the Universe, our limited time here, God...whatever fits your beliefs it can apply. And it's brilliant.

He loved him because he cared and believed in him but they sought his approval and did not want to disappoint him. That’s what kids lack today. No respect for teachers, police officers, parents, grandparents, etc. I blame myself as well. I’m a parent. We are too soft on our kids. We are raising weak adults. We need to change 🙁

      I agree 100%. My parents raised me like a "king kid", doing almost anything I wanted and having everything I needed. Oh dear oh dear let me tell you life slapped me in the face hard. I've suffered many depressions... but, everything was in God's plan. I found God in my distress and I hope that if I will ever be a parent one day, to raise my kids with love and teach them to have respect for others as themselves.
      Every good parents want the best for their children. Sometimes it means to let them grow and let them walk their own path, but sometimes it can be to give them the best advices you can. That advice can be physical too. I've never been physically corrected by my parents and wish they would have done it at some point. Once my friend's father slapped me in the face. I was shook ! 😧 But it worked ! To this day I've never laughed about another person being obese. Most of the time kids are doing evil without being conscient about it. I think it's the role of the parents to teach them what is right and what is wrong.

      I think there is great wisdom in what Mike said about not talking all the time. I am the best parent when I simply sit, listen, and don't judge immediately. I withhold my opinions unless it is something that I need to speak on. I think this gives off a sense of wisdom and stoicism to a child who is trying to figure you out.
      I definitely don't do it all the time, but when it happens, I notice much more respect and even love from my children.

      We don't respect our elders or superiors anymore cuz our generation is smart enough to see older people for what they really are: Old fogies with a deep seeded fear of growing old and forgotten who continue the cycle of abuse just to stroke their egos and to give themselves a sense of self worth their parents and superiors failed to give them in their youth. "Its just the way things are" is an excuse I've heard from almost everybody older then me when I ask why why anybody justifies their hateful behavior towards things that are different. The younger generations want things to change and listening to old farts like you people will only continue this godawful cycle.
