I still do. Quick games, I'm not playing 50 min LoL matches on the same map over and over again.. You can quickly learn a hero but it takes time to master them, hell you can experience 3 heroes by the time your done with 1 LoL game..
My experience with playing Zarya has been that patch dependent she varies between semi-playable and glorified minion. Aside from a good graviton lockdown she rarely if ever feels like she's actually impacting anything. Her damage is meaninglessly nonexistant unless your energy is full - which falls off completely within 2 seconds (thats not an exaggeration), and she's not actually tanky at all without the shield which has barely any uptime whatsoever. Like pally pointed out - her most valuable asset is the ability to interrupt objective channels (though he was admittedly taking a much more appreciative attitude towards that). Thats it. If her baseline damage was more on par with other heroes and then getting full energy allowed her a big damage spike for a small window, then she'd be good. As is she simply doesn't exist until she gets full energy which then brings her on par with the rest of the game for a few seconds.
Zarya for me is my highest win rate, but I never get a MVP or even on the board of people to vote for lol. I think she’s underrated. I always pick enemy shield gives energy at lvl 1, keeps energy maxed most of the game.
The most fun I've had in a hots game in a long time. The bottom lane on Blackhearts Bay is so narrow that Dibs can wall bang all day. Why is Diablo womens favorite hero? Because he is the best at wall banging. 😅
Pally I love you, but I gotta give this a thumbs down, you brought up great points about getting tempted to just plant your feet and cleave with her which can result in great plays but also lead to many games where you die a ton. I wish you dove more into how to be more selective in that decision making, instead of spending half the vid getting camps on a hero not built for it with a build not made for it. It could have answered the question at the end why you got melted by the enemy team @ 14:55 3 lvls lower than you( Imperius combo, Malganus ult). Then you can entertain scenarios where say the other team was even with you, how would Zarya deal with that Imperius and Malganus ult in a deciding fight. I get it, the player in you feels the need to end the game and you have that competitive side, but your posting videos trying to educate people on characters, their builds and how to effectively use them, not your wins that happen to be with the character you wanna show off.. And I feel it would be better if you posted a vid, even if it was in a losing effort, when you're displaying her full array of talents constantly, adjusting to situations and answering questions, rather than a dominating performance by your team and you're spending half the video getting camps and coins and not showing what she can do. I mean think about it from a new players perspective and this is one first few vids they are watching trying to learn the game. Who are they gonna want to play after seeing this. Zarya or Diablo?? Just something to think about brotha.
