Simon reminds me so much of Fripp… not only the way he plays but the way he holds his guitar and mannerisms while playing… ect. I’d hope he would take that as the highest compliment.
Great playing and the transitions are phenomenal, but it lacks dynamic. Notes needs air to groove, the full gas makes it more of a showcase rather than music as a whole.
@@citizenbxtr883All the greatest fusion jazz artists there ever been has made phenomenal use of dynamics when writing their songs. Thats what fusion literally is 😂
@@guitarsolos89 what fusion ‘literally’ is, was electrified instrumentation played with rock energy and an assimilation of multi indigenous styles. Your opinion is exactly that, an opinion. Based upon your own taste and you are entitled to that. Weather Report described their own sound as ‘no one taking a solo but everyone constantly soloing’. Overall, I too prefer strong dynamics but sometimes the sheer spectacle of ridiculous overplaying can be entertaining. The intensity can be diminished without dynamics though.
cool sounds, wheres the music? musicality is just not important anymore ig 🤷♂️ this is what happens when a bunch of music theory nerds try to make music together. it dont sound good because ya’ll were too focused on making it sound good. if you get it you get it, if you don’t… idk go practice your instrument until you do.
It’s like Dave Weckl and Frank gambale had a baby. Scratches the brain itch ❤

Lacks build up, dynamics and soul. It's just a showcase of how good they are but no one is listening or playing off eachother.
