I think classic Killer Moth is fun; He’s like the “Anti-Batman,” with gadgets and a costume and a moth-mobile, but he commits crimes instead of solving them. Modern Killer Moth is basically just a joke. Whenever he shows up it’s “Hey, look at this idiot, and now he’s gone.” Kind of like Bendis’s version of The Shocker in Ultimate Spider-Man.
Killer Moth was originally intended to be the underworld's Batman, the guy they called whenever they needed to get away from the law, and that would be interesting to explore in modern comics.

Okay honestly this is making me want to read Killer Croc stories, but the last time I did that for Anarky content. Hunting through the hundreds of Detective Comics literally just to find 3 issues he appeared in, one mini series, and his new Fifty Two recon. It was daunting but fun.
At the first ever local Comic-Con I went to, Glenn Fabry had a table and I forgot my Preacher books. I thought about buying a cheap copy of the first Vengeance of Bane one-shot to have him sign but I decided to just wait in line and ask some, hindsightedly, dumbass questions. Everyone had the old Preacher hardcovers, except one guy who had some Hellblazer stuff. When I got up he saw that I didn’t have anything and I got my minute to chat. He seemed down the whole time and I figured he felt disrespected by my age, newly 14. He signed a print for me and I proceeded to spend my life savings at the dollar bins. I realized looking back that interaction was within 2 days of Steve Dillons passing. I don’t presume to know their relationship or if they were close. If so, I can’t imagine having to see his name across every book you sign for 2 days straight, or how many people had probably brought it up to him relentlessly.
It feels like Ennis got a lot of his wires crossed in explaining the biology behind the reveal, then he just threw his hands up in the air and yelled, "Screw it! Aliens!"
That entire interaction with Batman, croc, and the baby is very "The Boys" from the way you guys described it. Ennis must have some strange opinions on breastfeeding.
For me this was a fun Batman series that I genuinely enjoyed as an out of continuity romp of insanity that reminded me of some of the 90s era of strange Batman comics which is fitting and appeals to me haha. It would have been hilarious to see sal’s reaction there too, but this is just as good😂 . Also Tiffany’s Batman impression and Ben and Ethans commentary is priceless as always!
I will never understand why the decisions with Killer Croc were made. Ennis' work annoys me. Hit man was good and so was Punisher MAX sans the few times I feel Ennis portrays Frank as a hero. Other than those he writes the most edgelord trash in comics. This is gonna be a fun episode.
I think it's also ironic for him talking how superheroes are "white supremacy fantasy", while having war fetish whose most loved character is used by actual fasci assholes.
His war comics are pretty much all fantastic. People who say he writes edgelord trash tend to not read those comics whether it’s all of his Battlefields or Sara. Fury: My War Gone By is great too since he has a reverence for the past when writing about war. Frank is an anti-hero and can still be heroic at times. That makes sense with the character.
@@DanV900 I think "Crossed" just ruined him for me.
