The Kamakhya Temple at Nilacal hills in Guwahati, Assam is one of the oldest temple of mother goddess Kamakhya, an annual festival that celebrates the menstruation of the goddess. Structurally, the temple is dated to the 8th-9th century with many subsequent rebuildings, It is also one of the oldest of the 51 in the Shakta pithas.
If u have plan to visit temple be prepared for min 7hours of long queue,if u want to skip the queue then u can do the vip Darshana for Rs501.
