I think this cover is amazing and i dont understand what the fuss is about, Nicole sang this song ''her way'' because a cover is your way of singing not just copying the artist, she improvised and was unique, a lot of other singers just copy the whole performance and try to sing the way the real artist sang the song, but Nicole didn't she sang ''Nicole's'' way and it was exclusive.

Killed it! Her take on it was pure genius. Gave this song new life & it really gave me that feel of it coming from the female perspective. When others sing it, I still feel like the words are coming from Sam(if that makes sense). This felt like it was her own, coming from her heart & in moments you forgot it was a cover.

I don't understand all the negative remarks. OK so maybe she didn't showcase her best voice here, but hot damn she sang it pack full of emotions. I feel what she's feeling as she sings this song. Gives me the goosebumps. You can get Celine Dion to sing this song and hit every note beautifully, but it wouldn't sound as raw, or honest or as emotional as this cover.

Okay, first, kudos for dropping Céline's name and recognizing she's perfect. Secondly.... you're very, VERY wrong. Listen to something other than her 90s ballads. Like her "Loved me back to life album," woman can be raw and shake your soul all the way to the gates my friend. Céline is heartbreakingly underrated, as is Nicole.
Can you tell me what is "underrating" about being considered as one of the vocal trinity? Celine made her point in history, she's been a very succesful artist and she's been recognized as one by, probably, the whole world. So... I don't think that "heartbreakingly underrated" is suitable modifier here.
By contrast, sometimes I wouldn't be afraid to use a word "overrated", tho'.
But let's not talk about Celine under Nicole's video. And this video is great, even if it might not be her best. Thumb up, Nicole!

This performance was very "real" and gives a personal feel to it. Don't talk about "vocal" when you don't even have the knowledge. This version is full of emotions, and honestly, singing is just another way of expressing emotions; there's no need to always show off one's voice or vocal strength. (Not to mention she got a nice voice here)
So don't judge too quickly. Try to feel the performance. If you can't, well just stick with the original (which of course is another incredible creation)
I came here knowing nothing about Nicole (except she was part of the Pussycat Dolls, that's what everybody knows) the only thing I know now is that this cover is amazing, she put a lot o feeling in it, and that's what makes an artist, the way she reads what's given to her. To me, whenever I listen to her music, I can feel so much emotion behind every word of the song, this is evident from her tone, the way she stressed specific words, it's so dramatic, compelling and beautiful all at once. In one sense, a singer is much like an actor, for their song/role to be good, both must invoke emotions from their audience (at the least). Also, Sam and Nicole are both awesome artists, they are individuals who have their own set of experiences, which makes sense that even though, they both sang the same song, it's a given that it sounds different.
FYI, I think that both Sam and Nicole neither lacks passion and intensity when they sing - they both sing from the heart.

She is madly talented. Definitely a superb singer ... but her eyes, her hair, her nose, her cheeks, her smile, no need to comment her body. Love her personality and attitude as well. She is sImply the most beautiful in the music industry nowadays.

This wasn't even an off performance. Not to me anyway. I admittedly don't know the original version, but this sounded pretty good to me.
I cant believe shes 37, she looks great and has a great figure, as well as that she is an amazing, so much passion in her singing, its incredible.

Nicole has a great voice range..I enjoyed her on X-factor she is a sweet heart with talent She tears up all the time from some amazing performances and genuinely has good comments unlike some judges that have gone through the show. Her duet with Sam Bailey, XF winner 2013 was amazing too..check it out.
