I had the privilege of going to a bar in Dundalk called Mcmanus’s in December 1992. All three of the Corr sisters and Jim were working at the bar and elsewhere. Andrea Corr, in particular, was bathed in a golden glow of charismatic beauty. They looked like Angels in our midst as I sank countless pints of Guinness! Happy days!
I love the Corrs, and I love this piece, cause it’s so upbeat and vibrant! Three very talented and beautiful ladies in Sharon, Andrea and Caroline; and then their talented brother Jim. Have to say, though they’re all brilliant on their respective instruments, I particularly watch Caroline, I believe, on drums. I love the drums, I’m a bit of a drummer myself, though nowhere near as good or on the same level as her, and watching her drive their rhythm, and doing that solo as well is pretty awesome! Also I really like that they really seem to gel as a siblings, and really enjoy plying their trade, and giving performances like that one; combining Irish folk music, with current pop, and adding to it, giving it their own twist, and using traditional Irish instruments!
When I seen these live. They played this 3 times. First in the middle of the main set. Then at the end of the main set. Then finally as last encore. Each time was phenomenal.
Oh a bit of great rock diddley dee . It hits the spot. Another reason to be in awe of the talent and sheer love of music that Irish people have. Bit biased, since I am Irish born and bred. But living in Brexit land. Yes, what a plonker eh?
The Corrs are maybe the most misunderstood band ever. They're just pretty people singing pop songs, right? The complexities of this particular piece are outrageous! It's effectively prog rock. Go listen to the technical passages of an Iron Maiden classic and you'll find the similarities. Elsewhere, their choice of chord phrasing, sounds and structure are VERY unique at times. It's all done perfectly. Music snobs probably wouldn't give them a second thought but they should. Kudos.
There is a version of this song in the studio with Simon Phillips. He plays fantastically (the only way Simon ever plays). Caroline is a very fine drummer (no question). However, Simon is terrifying.
80 and 90 were the beautiful times to live on earth
Such beautiful culture and music…incredible…!!!
This makes me want to travel to the land of my ancestors. Go to a Irish Pub, have a drink or four, and take The Corrs with me.

Bob saved the night for sharon corr, He kept the strap from falling down each time.
Yeah. All the women in the audience were cheering him and all the men were booing him! 😂
We hate Bob.
I love the traditional Irish music... The flute, violin, guitar, drum... You could imagine standing in the grasslands of the Irish shores...
more like face down on the floor in a pub shitfaced after three pints Guinness and a half-bottle of a very peaty whiskey

What Did he fix?
Poor Jim, it sucks to be the only boy in the family.
Actually there were 5 but their brother Gerry dies at the age of 3 i think
I wish they stayed on this type of music and not tried to swoon America with pop nonsense
