my hypothesis is that these were made in the intentions of selecting cheaters of some sort; while not completely, it does help Valve staffs to ban certain people that has “more resistance” cheats

Steam Achievement Manger could easily get banned, it hasn't been updated in years. However, I don't think Valve care so much about card farming or achievements. This is unique because some of these guys were taking over servers to boost, so it makes sense they got banned.
Achievements grant nothing and SAM users are heavily widespread, so it would be shooting themselves in the foot to ban anyone who's ever used it. Anyone using it from CS2 onwards however, could be at risk of a ban. Hell, there are server side exploits where you could type a !command in a custom server and get all achievements in TF2, fairly certain something similar was in GO.
SAM(Steam Archivement Manager) has nothing to do with farming cards. Only if you start up each individual process with SAM, which would be dumb kind of. (should still work tho) for card farming people use ASF(Archi's steam farm) which farms individual games for cards and checks if drops are available
They RUINED my favorite casual gamemode : Flying Scoutsman. Every single server was full of bots with 300+ ping with full ragehacks that would only jump up and down and votekick you from the server. I couldn't even play Flying Scoutsman unless there was an active operation. People talking about how these gamemodes are "missing" in CS2 weren't playing CSGO, they were already destroyed by these people.

I think I got close to the 4th one on one year where I played a shit ton AND I had a bunch of xp tokens I used aswell. Getting the red one legit without doing something like cheating/boosting/sharing your account is pretty much impossible unless you dedicate your entire life for the game and your health during it. Definitely feels like Valve is baiting cheaters by having this medal

I just learned that you could level up the service medal. I remember in 2018 I thought you got it for amount of playtime not by rank and I waited for the new year to get it, and obviously did not get it.

the only way to obtain these were if you dm or flying scout boosted basically a lot of accounts set to idle kick anyone who joined, and the account you wanted set to kill ever idle account. you did that for 2 months and the red medal was yours. the only possible plausible way was if you had xp every boost from every operation that had those available, and in the end of the year you were at level 20 or 21 with a purple or pink one , other than that it's basically impossible to do legit. since in one year you would need to have 240 levels, with the fact that at some point reduced XP would be applied making everything more difficult. there's no "glitch" involved as far as im aware. only constant grinding with several bots kicking legit players in a match.
you can have the red medal legit if you didnt use your last operations xp boost ( I have like 38 levels boost in my inv actually ), you can reach max blue medal legitely without them or without "cheating"
I've heard that you need to play about 7-10 r15 games a day for the whole year to get the red medal. So when the guy we saw got the medal august 10 it's so obviously cheated in some way.
I did the achievement thing, it was a workshop map not 3rd party tool. I had the achievements legitimately on my old main account and only did them on multiple smurfs with the workshop map.

I dont think you actually realise just how much time you need. (A LOT !!! ) Let's say , you get with level 1 on the 1st of january. Let's say you also have 60 xp boost (maximum possible) that makes you have the green emblem with level 20 from the getgo. from there on, You need to get in 1 year 140 level ups in order to get the gold medal. You have 52 weeks in a year that that means that you will need to grind almost 2.7 levels every single week for a whole year in order to get the red medal. It's impossible? no. It will take you a tremendous amount of time to do it? YES!!!! You probably need to put 40 hours (AT LEAST) , every single week, ONLY in CS - for the whole year !!!! Goodluck buddy, I will stick with the purple one:)

there was a legit way to get all the achievements in csgo, which was to hop into community servers and look up the workshop map for it and download the map (thats how i did it) the cheating way was to download a software and just click get achievement and then itll be on ur steam account. So i think im safe when it comes to the achievements part of the spectrum cuz i did it "legit" and not by downloading softwares and automatically getting them rather than downloading the maps from steam workshop on the community tab
While you can get the red coin legit, you have to play arms race 17 hours a day for an entire year and win every match to have a chance to get it. 99.8% if not 100% of red coin users boosted their accounts in flying scoutsman and bought those accounts for a few hundred dollars
well gyus because anomaly mentioned it..... dont use cheats to unlock your Achievments or not free ones because on my very old acc i did cheat in bo2 zombie mode and miss clicked a button that said "unlock"... well it meant unlock achievments and my acc was vac banned like 2h later so better use community maps where you can grind even the 50million dollar quest in 10min (if csgo weould still be there)

If all xp boosts were saved for 2024, they release a new operation with 20 more xp boosts, and you save your rank at lvl 40 for January 1st, and because new year's day falls on a Monday, the day before xp resets, assuming you don't play at all in the last week of 2023, plus next year is a leap year, giving you one extra day, it is very plausible to get the red service medal next year legitimately, assuming you hit the xp cap every single week. yikes

I have one guy in my friends list that literally farmed 3 service medals for 1 month. He was 24/7 in a server where he had his knife pulled and constantly right-clicking and spinning, while people are back turned running towards him for him to stab them and they were constantly respawning. It looked like a DM server and he was farming XP like he played 2 compet games in a matter of 10 minutes. Still not banned though
As your friend used external software may it be through a script or not, he should be banned pretty soon. That is the whole reason why these were banned, these accounts were sold with the red medal because a "bot farmer" created multiple accounts that are playing 24/7 on servers, with a knife spinning around killing other bots walking towards them just like your friend did with his account. The only downside is, that these bans seem manually done which gives enough time in advance to warn other Red Medal users. If you saw the video you saw a live ban happen.
Tecnically you can do it with hella xp operations tokens Thst you get i the last operations and start the year with level 40 and and also play a loot cs I hope i never get banned because i cheated the old achievements

Actually you can made legit red service medal ;) I made it pink ,and I was close to gen red ,but than I didn’t played for a 1 week and half ,it’s kind of easy to earn it,you must play so so so much ,I have like 150 hours in game last week
Legit players who play everyday will get about 2.5 levels a week. 52 weeks in a year x 2.5 levels= 130 Levels per year. So 3.25 service medals per year but you could hold level 40 for the new year to reach a legit max of about 4.25 Service medals. Red level 6 so even most people with the Pink (level 5) are also exploiting or cheating in some way.

It makes sense they're banning non legit medals as : 1st these medals are farmed for the purpose of accout selling (against ToS) and 2nd the buyers of these accounts are on average more likely to be cheaters who want to look more legit I ran into people who spinbots or obvious wallhack with those really high level medals, doesn't make sense to think they cheat 24/7 and level up their acc massively like that, they probably just bought an account to cheat on a few times a day
I am an non-tradable Steam community item collector. I collect in-game tf2 Genuine medals and CSGO red medals. I did not cheated on CSGO, I sandboxed with 20 accounts getting a red medal. It's not an violation of tos if you did not use an automation, valve have cs2 employees with "special needs" that banned some innocent people like phishy and ieb

my friend faizan saved XP boosters from 2016 upto 2022 just to get 80+xp boosters to use on upgrading to red medal :) and he got red medal. he is not banned by d way :)
so yes u can get red medal legally but u will have to buy alot of operations , do all the missions top get 20xp boosters each operation :) and 1 operation comes each 2 years or sometimes take more time so its a patience game.
he has a youtuve video where he uses all his XP Boosters which is a legel thing that u get from every operation for doin missions, each operation gives u only 20 max boosters. and each booter gives you 5000xp :) @@berenguerx

well gyus because anomaly mentioned it..... dont use cheats to unlock your Achievments or not free ones because on my very old acc i did cheat in bo2 zombie mode and miss clicked a button that said "unlock"... well it meant unlock achievments and my acc was vac banned like 2h later so better use community maps where you can grind even the 50million dollar quest in 10min (if csgo weould still be there)
I guess valve need to ban users with level 5 medal as well
it is very much obtainable legit. you could easy get one if you saved up the xp boosts a couple of years and then just played actively afterwards

If all xp boosts were saved for 2024, they release a new operation with 20 more xp boosts, and you save your rank at lvl 40 for January 1st, and because new year's day falls on a Monday, the day before xp resets, assuming you don't play at all in the last week of 2023, plus next year is a leap year, giving you one extra day, it is very plausible to get the red service medal next year legitimately, assuming you hit the xp cap every single week. yikes
good point of saving last week's xp but don't worry there are at least 5 legit red medals 2022 that I know and 100% sure of

I have one guy in my friends list that literally farmed 3 service medals for 1 month. He was 24/7 in a server where he had his knife pulled and constantly right-clicking and spinning, while people are back turned running towards him for him to stab them and they were constantly respawning. It looked like a DM server and he was farming XP like he played 2 compet games in a matter of 10 minutes. Still not banned though
As your friend used external software may it be through a script or not, he should be banned pretty soon. That is the whole reason why these were banned, these accounts were sold with the red medal because a "bot farmer" created multiple accounts that are playing 24/7 on servers, with a knife spinning around killing other bots walking towards them just like your friend did with his account. The only downside is, that these bans seem manually done which gives enough time in advance to warn other Red Medal users. If you saw the video you saw a live ban happen.

Actually you can made legit red service medal ;) I made it pink ,and I was close to gen red ,but than I didn’t played for a 1 week and half ,it’s kind of easy to earn it,you must play so so so much ,I have like 150 hours in game last week

Legit players who play everyday will get about 2.5 levels a week. 52 weeks in a year x 2.5 levels= 130 Levels per year. So 3.25 service medals per year but you could hold level 40 for the new year to reach a legit max of about 4.25 Service medals. Red level 6 so even most people with the Pink (level 5) are also exploiting or cheating in some way.

It makes sense they're banning non legit medals as :
1st these medals are farmed for the purpose of accout selling (against ToS) and
2nd the buyers of these accounts are on average more likely to be cheaters who want to look more legit
I ran into people who spinbots or obvious wallhack with those really high level medals, doesn't make sense to think they cheat 24/7 and level up their acc massively like that, they probably just bought an account to cheat on a few times a day
I am an non-tradable Steam community item collector. I collect in-game tf2 Genuine medals and CSGO red medals. I did not cheated on CSGO, I sandboxed with 20 accounts getting a red medal. It's not an violation of tos if you did not use an automation, valve have cs2 employees with "special needs" that banned some innocent people like phishy and ieb

They probobly made them as an item to catch people who are cheating or scripting the game pretty smart if they did it for that reason becose then they maybe will learn something. Play around and find out type of thing

@@7weco No it's not just save enough xp boosteres form operations and then paly the whole year to get 4 leves and use boosters. It is not hard just takes time to collect them from all operations.

my friend faizan saved XP boosters from 2016 upto 2022 just to get 80+xp boosters to use on upgrading to red medal :) and he got red medal. he is not banned by d way :)
so yes u can get red medal legally but u will have to buy alot of operations , do all the missions top get 20xp boosters each operation :) and 1 operation comes each 2 years or sometimes take more time so its a patience game.
he has a youtuve video where he uses all his XP Boosters which is a legel thing that u get from every operation for doin missions, each operation gives u only 20 max boosters. and each booter gives you 5000xp :)
