    Now i know how this works, thanks! but i still have two questions left: number 1: do i need individual sizes for the holes for the pipes or can i choose it? and if yes what are the measurings? and number 2: will you release the plans for the portativ organ with the measurings?
    And at 6:05 - 6:19 it sounds a bit like when you are speaking like in the sims.
    But at always great Video!

      Thanks Animalistik, usually for 2' stops the holes are from 8mm for the lower C to 6mm for the highest pipe. I chose to be abundant and I started from 12mm of holes for the lowest note and scaling up to 6mm for the highest. Yes, as I am sure everything works I will make the projects available. And yes, I was talking to myself😅

    Veramente un buon risultato! Mi chiedevo quali tipi di punte forstner consiglieresti di usare ad un hobbista, quale mi reputo🤔

    • @nippocast
      @nippocast  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ciao Marco, Grazie. Come punte posso dirti, più che la marca, di prendere un modello che abbia la punta centrante molto corta, quelle che ho vanno bene come affilatura ma hanno la punta un pò troppo lunga e se devo togliere tanto materiale e lasciare uno strato sottile di legno rischia di passare dall'altra parte.

    Did you consider the traditional method of burning the pipe seats , rather than using a countersink?

    • @nippocast
      @nippocast  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, but I haven't the tools.

    Technically this is called a toe board. A soundboard is found only in pianos. A soundboard is a resonant part, in a pipe organ the pipe are the resonators.

      thanks for the clarification, actually I had heard some organ builder who called it soundboard but being Italian I'm not sure it's the correct term, surely toe board makes sense.

      @@nippocast Thanks, I think there was some confusion at some point in the past, find a copy of the art of organ building by George Ashdown Audsley. I believe it is discussed in there somewhere.

    Thanks so much for the video, this type of wind chest is different from the conventional ones used for larger chamber organs? Is this design similar to that of chest (box) organ for basso continuo?

    • @nippocast
      @nippocast  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Xiaohu, this is not a windchest, this is a soundboard which serves to distribute the wind to the pipes. The winchest has the pallets that are opened by the actions connected to the manual. It will be similar to that of a trunk organ but much smaller

    Can you make a video, that how would you make a pipe organ which keyboard is a midi keyboard?

      Hi Zsolt! I have many projects in mind and this is a possibility, but for now I want to continue this project. Thanks for the question!

    This is where I start getting confused, I don’t understand the layers.

    • @nippocast
      @nippocast  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      it is a bit complicated😅. A simpler, but less refined solution is to connect plastic hoses from under the pipes to the wind chest
