I live in India and have seen Everest and Kanchenjunga more than 10 times and can agree it's a mesmerizing sight to see. But you have to be seriously lucky like me to see the mountains without any obstruction from clouds and fogs.
USEFUL SUGGESTION FOR EVEREST LOVERS If you want to see Mt Everest from air, you do NOT see much if you fly within Nepal. For clear view of Mt Everest and other peaks, you will have to fly the Delhi (or Kathmandu) Paro sector (Pl remember: NOT the Bangkok/Dhaka/Singapore Paro sector). While flying INTO Bhutan from Delhi or Kathmandu, sit on left side window seats AND while flying TO Kathmandu or Delhi - sit on the right. And also try to get back seats after Row 16 (towards the washroom at the back) because these seats have no obstructions from the wings for better views. I hope this helps everyone planning their travel.
Or fly to Kathmandu Nepal, and take a mountain flight, specifically for flying over the Everest region. Its a 1.5 hrs round trip from Kathmandu and back. Thank you

At 6:01 you can see(briefly) the Cho Oyu(8.188 m), the last peak to the left, the highest one on the left which is shown for 1/2 second.

It doesn't look that high at all actually here in this footage, it's strange. The mountains nearby Everest do look low-seated, suggesting an altitude much lower than stated, and especially with the view in background for further reference. It makes me think something might not be right here, and the actual mountain height might be well exaggerated just because the overall number is based on sea level, not the base ground where the mountains start.
