  • Going through some of my old writings, as I mentioned in my last song, I found lyrics that had never found a melody.
    TO STOP THE WORLD
Silver sliver of a moon glowing - at the break of day
The sun slipping past the horizon - as we wind our way
Pale blue sky growing brighter - with each step we make
Feeling new energy and life - with every breath we take
Just for a moment, the world stops...
Thumbnail of a moon rising - up as it breaks away
To be denied nothing while growing - more every day
A life of its own while drawing - strength from the sun
Man, such harmony there - with no need ever to run
Just for a moment, the world stops...
As it leaves the horizon - and moves toward the west
I note a symbolism there - such an unceasing quest
Methodically it travels - across time and space
I can see myself up there - yes I can definitely relate
Just for a moment, the world stops...
So quite simply it’s found - its place in the universe
As will we alone together - discover our worth
Many things in life - although short may be achieved
There are limitations - but you know of what I speak
Just for a moment, the world stops...
Seeking that which fulfills - and completes us must be
Able to create harmony - and perpetuate energy
The trivia will, if allowed - always obscure our view
Letting go of this is truly - something we all must do
Just for a moment, the world stops...
Doing less is merely - a waste of precious resources
Not to recognize this - also ignores other forces
Give our lives meaning - and we reach to the sky
Time on this earth will pass - in the blink of an eye
Just for a moment, the world stops...
