Did I get right, that for negotiations we might use first conditional if we want to give an option or an opportunity for a counterparty, and using second is for showing that this opportunity is inappropriate for us?
Thanks for the question. We certainly could. For example "could" is the past form of "can." So I might have a conditional such as, "If I could go on vacation tomorrow, I would go to the beach."
