Pattern: Pickled Orange Peel
Fabric: Bright scraps, Low volumes and black and whites
Quilting: Custom longarm by @freebirdquiltingdesigns
The original orange version was made for a magazine in 2012 and then re-made in 2017. The quilt features freezer paper foundation piecing (however you could use you preferred method) and curved piecing.
It is a fabulous scrap quilt and again I one of my favourites.

I love them both. The orange one reminds me of my childhood in California. We had orange trees in our yard and I loved the smell of the orange blossoms every spring 🧡🍊

Gorgeous quilts! I really like the orange one, but the scrappy one is very pretty too. I'm inspired. Thanks for sharing and showing how using different fabrics and colorways but same pattern can change the whole feel of a quilt.

Beautiful! The pickled orange is called pickle dish in the states Hard to find pattern but Ive got one ! Lovely interpretation!🎉
