@3-2preciousmetalrecycling so for that process is aqua regia the process used? Sorry just new to this scene and have a ton of e-scrap I'd like to mess with.
I used the poor man's aqua regia, which is basically the same thing. When I added the potassium nitrate, it converted into nitric acid inside the hydrochloric acid. So it gives the same results as using hydrochloric acid and nitric acid, which is the "proper way" to make aqua regia. I hope this explanation is useful
If you have access to cheap nitric acid then the normal aqua regia is easier if not potassium nitrate or sodium nitrate is a good alternative. In my video on refining silver rings I show how I make my own nitric acid using sodium bisulphate and pottassium nitrate.
I am guessing 2.1g of gold from all the boards. For fun, why not have a little guess.
0.6 grams was a lot more than i was expecting. good job 👍🏻
Thanks. I was only expecting 0.4 myself. Thanks for watching
Thanks for making it so we dont have to read everything. Appreciate the voice.
Thank you for your feedback. Also, thanks for watching 👍 👍

These a.i. voices are too funny… can tell it’s a.i. cause of the poor pronunciations and it never taking a breath from talking… lmao
I'd guess about 3g
That would be nice
200 or more
What does this take the gold to 14k, 24k?
The gold is around 23k - 24k as there could be some impurities from recovery. But a quick re dissolve and precipitation ensures 24k

@@3-2preciousmetalrecycling one more question if you don't mind. Which method would you recommend for someone just starting out?
