I clocked my Smittybilt XRC9500 for my ARB bumper as well. No issues and I've had the winch on my Gen 2.5 Montero for 2 years. Prior to that I had it mounted to my old XJ and it's seen plenty of reliable use.

Slick looking Montero! I just hit 200k in my 2003 and I'm about to replace all suspension, control arms upper/lower, tie rods inner/outer, and new tires. Not looking to go as aggressive as MT but looking to up from 70 to 75 on the 265 16'' wheel. Should fill the wheel wells nicely. Looking into Goodyear DuraTraks
@@deadfound9948 NICE thanks so much! I'm going to remeasure my clearance after I install my new Bilstien shocks and Lovell springs I'm currently sagging about 1'' front and back so I'm hoping to rock some nice chuncky tires on there after I get a bit more room under there. Those BFG MT's looks sooo good though.

If u drive it hard enough they will definitely rub. You should be running larger bump stops for 33's. My 32's ko2's on zero offset wheels(same exact wheels as this guy actually) do rub in deep travel. U pretty much have to be jumping it but they will hit the top if the wheel well. I hit a big whoop at speed and blew both my front wheel well liners out 😂
There is a 2003 Montero Sport for sale near me, it has 106k miles and is for sale for $3,800usd, from the pictures, there are no apparent defects on the outside aswell on the inside. Is it a good deal?
Yes but check the valve cover gasket if it has the 6g72 (if it's an xs sport). I've owned 3 and all of them have leaked from there. I also live in a very hot and dry climate.
That's a smoking deal if it's in decent shape. Probably due for timing belt and some general maintenance but that's something I would plan on doing no matter what. I've had timing belt issues 4 times on 2 different Montero's so take it to a mitsubishi dealer or someone who will do the job by the book. First shop that replaced the belt on my sport failed to tensioner it properly and it skipped timing ruining the motor. They replaced the engine with one from a junk yard, fast forward 100k miles it is taken to a different reputable(not cheap shop) to have it replaced again. 10k miles later the main pulley came loose and sheared the guid pin off the crank sprocket requiring it all to be replaced again.. Did it myself this time and 50k later no issue. 3rd time I had a issue was when I bought my 3rd gen that the dealer claimed they just replaced the belt on and when I popped the cover to look at it it was crazy loose. I replaced it with a kit I bought on Amazon and somehow the belt destroyed itself like 30k later ruining another engine :( Anyway moral of the story is keep up on the timing belt and be sure the person installing it knows what they are doing and USE OEM PARTS!

Do you know if he re-geared to 4.9 to drive with that tire size? If he didn't, I'm curious on the performance loss and longevity it would have driving factory 4.3s at that size.
Yes they are. But if you can get one in great condition, get it. It is a very capable off-road rig. We have traveled via very tough terrain and this rig handles the off-road really well.
What is the offset on those Methods 305's? Is it ET 0 and if so how did that worked out with backapacing fender line and/or rubbing - becouse I think stock rims have ET 46?
What other Rig makes should we do a walk around video? Post your suggestions below.

200K still new :) These rigs are awesome!! KM3, STT PRO by Cooper, Grabber tires are all great tires.
Check out milestone patogonia tires they are aggressive tires but very little road noise and they ride really smooth

Fyi. I have 33 inch tyres but rims I used are zero offset and the spare tyre fits without customizing the wheel carrier.
