Honestly, with 1000th sons you need the magister of prospero warlord trait. Also, use telepathy to negate reactions and use biomancy on the sekhmets to give them thoughmess 5. And even with that is difficult to play. Good job and beautiful army . 😊
All good points. Sadly magister of prospero only effects the warlords unit and gives an extra movement reaction, so it's not the most practical. Plus Ahriman doesn't get it. The lowering of leadership has made psychic powers more dangerous to activate on a whim. Thanks for watching
We love them also. They are a pretty tricky legion to get right and not the most beginner friendly of legions, so it mainly veterans and hard core Tzeentchers that collect 😅
Good to see this battle showcasing my thoughts that these two legions are among the, if not the, most flexible legions in 2e HH. Keep up the awesome work, folks!
The Dark Angels are definitely versatile with their ability to mix and match hexagramatons. They were the template for other legions after all, but they don't excel in any specific area. Also, they Warlord traits are subpar. The thousand sons have the ability to be fielded in a variety of ways, but they suffer greatly from points creep as things get expensive very fast.
@@fareastwargaming Very true regarding the 1k Sons. But even with just the minor arcanas on base line troopers can come in handy! As always, love seeing you guys having a blast!
Great gods, they did it, they did it again. They posted another treasure trove 👏👏👏 Worth mentioning good old story of Zhao-Arkhad/Arkkad forge world with these lads)
Great battle report lads, thanks for filming the game. I enjoy watching your Zone Mortalis battle reports. I'd love to see more Zone Mortalis content. Perhaps a Zone Mortalis league, played in a friendly way, not competitively. Keep up the great work!
We're looking at more ZM content. We just have to come up with some more unique scenarios, because the few available can get pretty predictable in terms of army comps and strategies.
Question; just getting into getting an army, but I know all the 30k rules and so forth. How do you know if your army is too strong before you play it? The only bit of etiquette that I know is that you should never take more than 1 dread per 1k points and that more than 1 HS Lascannon team is a dick move.
That's a great question and we love the way you're looking at building a force. But you are right, it's all down to etiquette. There are several ways to do it and you've named some. We at FEW have agreed not to put tech marines with lascanon squads. The killing power creeps up another notch. If its friendly play, then we try and balance the lists to make sure the opponent at least has a chance of managing the units brought. Informing opponents about Lords of War is also a curtesy. Other than that, I generally take a step back and say 'would this be fun for me to play against?' There are no hard and fast rules. For our narrative tournaments we host, we do police the lists to keep an eye out for 'overpowered' combinations. But generally, if you go for stronger units they are expensive and you tend to sacrifice mission scoring.
@@fareastwargaming I appreciate the tips guys :) I want to avoid being "that guy" in a game, but at the same time models are expensive, so taking stuff that works vs stuff that's too powerful is a balancing act.
Personally, Jason and I follow the 'rule of cool' more than anything else. The unique units of the legions that may not always be the most optimal. Or follow a theme for the force when designing it.
Love seeing thousand sons represented. Keep them coming!
Glad you enjoyed it.
more dice rolling! very cool though!
Will try. It's a tricky line to walk between video length and what to record. Will try get a dice heavier video out soon 😉
Dark Angels are a powerful and dynamic legion. Nice to see more variety on the channel. Well done guys! MoS is key to Deep Striking.
They are fun, but lots of rules to keep track of with all the various wings, etc. More new painted models coming soon 😁

Loving seeing TS on the tabletop, seems to be the rarest legion to come across

Merry Christmas to you too. We'll be going strong for 2025 also so stay tuned!

Ooo Thank you guys!
Your welcome. Hope you enjoyed it.
I love seeing the sekmet with the cataphractii terminators.
Good game lads!
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it.
Love 1000 sons . I'm only one who's uses them in my area. I sometimes mix them with imperial heralds
thousand sons versus mech to see who is the true wearer of the Santa red
Or mechanicus force is in the works. Sadly don't think we can get it ready for a Christmas bash 🫤
