I sure wish you had these available when I lived on a sailboat and cruised, wearing my foul weather gear regularly. Nothing like Patagonia gear. I still have a fleece pull over. I bought nearly 30 years ago and it just won’t wear out.
Check out the collar on the Musto MPX. I've been in some big/cold seas, and the flap that goes up and over your nose and closes off the collar is a must have offshore. It preserves a ton of heat, and prevents a good amount of spray from getting down and into the coat. This one appears to have a funnel shape, which would I'm guessing funnel the water down into your jacket. Something to think through for V2.
Hi Patagonia team, I'm interested in this jacket. Can it be used for mountaineering, climbing, ice climbing, and for hiking? Is it breathable enough? What is the difference between this jacket and a Gore-Tex ProShel jacket? Thanks for your answer in advance! :) Kind regards
These look comfortable, but only if they fit properly. How will you be addressing the general lack of extended sizing in foul weather gear? Not everyone is built the same, and the lack of good fitting gear is a barrier to the sport that keeps many people from being able to participate.
As a sea kayaker I can tell you, if you are floating in the water, wearing a PFD…. Very little of your is actually visible. Shoulders and head. Maybe your legs if you are floating with them close to the surface. This can’t be yellow enough!
Love my Patagonia foulies from the 90s. Even if they are a little tired.

Agreed, first thing I thought about when I saw this. The face and neck looks very exposed from the combination of wind, waves, rain, spray and cold.
Any chance you guys will come out with more colors and ambidexterous thigh pockets? I really like these but I don't want them in storm yellow
