Your right i made that mistake
You should give yourself a year or two after you get sober. Sex and dating becomes like a drug after quitting and become emotionally unstable. I learn this the hard way, after I got cleaned I felt so lonely I started hooking up and dating random people that caused nothing but drama and either I got hurt or I hurt someone else cuz I wasn't ready and was and still attracting the wrong people. Like Ryan said, get a strong foundation first and build yourself /love yourself first before getting involved with someone else. 🙌 Thanks for putting this out there! So true

yer ive been married 6 years to my wife who is also an addict and ive been to rehab 6 months clean we have no sex life im trying to get my wife clean mow too its so hard to see her going thru withdrawal

Thank you for this good advice . I just broke up with my BF of four years as a single mom of two beautiful rad sons 12 and 17 . He smokes weed daily all super fit with nature ..surfing and I drink almost daily spread through out the hours in what I thought was chill ..always running my restaurant and tending to home duties.. occasional extra buzz . The ganja and alcohol vibration clashes .
Finding myself since the break up drinking more battling depression and know it’s a depressant spiral . Hopefully I’m not turning into a alcoholic
I'm sorry but it sounds to me a though you are rationalising and minimising thought drinking and smoking, it is problematic and if your drinking alcohol throughout the day every day then it is highly likely that your already an alcoholic!
What are your suggestions on a married couple going through withdrawal? Should we do it together or one do it at a time?
I agree dont get married but just sex is fine I fine if you use different partners in different groups!
